Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English The smell of exhaust fumes and the screech of tires on tarmac are shot through this dynamic double-feature.
FIREBALL 500: A cast that includes Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello in its ranks is always going to be a hoot, and FIREBALL 500 doesn't disappoint on that front. While this popular cinematic coupling are best known for some campy 1960s beach movies, here they demonstrate their versatility by appearing in a racecar film. But the action screeches to a halt when Frankie's character, Dave, tries to pick up a local girl (Funicello) in a small town on his way to Daytona, while also entering into a potentially deadly car race against her boyfriend!
THUNDER ALLEY: Annette Funicello and Fabian play two stockcar drivers with love and lust on their minds in this frenetic and funny movie from 1967. Tommy (Fabian) has to overcome some difficult personal obstacles to pursue his dream of winning an Indy 500 race, but with Funicello egging him on surely he can't fail? Fireball 500/Thunder Alley Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) The best of Barris and NASCAR footage These two were my all time favorites, they have what every guy likes most, Annette Funicello, custom cars by Barris, the Fireball 500 custom cuda and the Thunder Alley cantilevered Dodge Charger and a NASCAR stock car favorite Richard Petty's #43 Plymouth GTX and lots of excellent vintage NASCAR rracing footage from the days when stock cars were truly stock. The Glory Days as it were of NASCAR, when it truly was what it stood for, National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing, with stock car being emphasized. There's not much to the plot but the cars and box office favorites, Annette, Fabian and Frankie Avalon are always great to see and hear. Fireball 500/Thunder Alley film
$15.19 A ragtag group of forest critters awakes from hibernation to find that their forest has been turned into a suburban housing development in this animated film co-directed by Tim Johnson (ANTZ) and first-timer Karey Kirkpatrick, and based on a comic strip by Michael Fry and T Lewis. Paternal turtle Verne (Gary Shandling) and his makeshift family--spunky skunk Stella (Wanda Sykes), speedy squirrel Hammy (Steve Carrell), dramatic father opossum Ozzie (William Shatner), and his perpetually embarrassed daughter Heather (Avril Lavigne)--are ready to start the annual forage for food when they discover a giant hedge where their forest used to be. Luckily, charming raccoon RJ (Bruce Willis) shows up just in time to teach them about humans and life on the other side of the hedge, and how much food there is to be had.
But what Verne and his pals don't know is that RJ's intentions are not necessarily honorable: this loner needs the food they forage to pay back a large debt to Vincent, ...

Fireball 500/Thunder Alley review
$7.89 SNAKES ON A PLANE's magnificently self-explanatory title triggered a cascade of buzz and anticipation, and fans of truth in advertising will be relieved to learn that the movie lives up to its billing in every way: there are many snakes, they are on an airplane, Samuel L. Jackson is there to show them who's boss, and the results are just as fun as they are silly. Jackson stars as Nelville Flynn, an FBI agent escorting a witness (Nathan Phillips) on a flight to Los Angeles. Phillips is supposed to testify against an evil mobster, but the details really aren't important, and the filmmakers are smart enough to focus on what counts: a variety pack of poisonous snakes is released mid-flight. To make matters worse, the snakes are crazed and violent because of pheromones, leading to the truly classic Samuel L. Jackson line, "Great. Snakes on crack."
With the notable exception of Jackson, most of the cast couldn't act its way out of an airplane barf bag, but that's probably for the best, as good performances would only serve as a distraction from the snakes--who have no trouble springing out of luggage ...
