Vortex album Product Description
Vortex album by Amon Duul was released May 10, 2005 on the Inside Out Music label. "Vortex" was the first and also the only album the band recorded in the 80th. Vortex songs Renate Knaup, Chris Karrer, Daniel Fichelscher, Jorg Evers and Falk U. Rogener, and the "guests" Lothar Meid, John Weinzierl and Stefan Zauner met 1981 in the studio too try it again. With "Vortex" they wanted to show, that there is still that old magic in the music of Amon Duul 2. Songs like `We Are Machine', `Vibes In The Air' or `Holy West', are comparable with all the Duul-Classics. The song `Wings Of The Wind' is a song that could be from the milestone album `Wolf City'. Audio Remixer: Jan Kahlert. Recording information: Metro Studio, Munich, Germany. Personnel: Chris Karrer (guitar, violin, saxophone); Jörg Evers (guitar, synthesizer); Danny Secundus Fichelscher (guitar, drums, percussion); John Weinzierl (guitar); Stefan Zauner (piano, synthesizer); Falk U. Rogner (synthesizer); Jan Kahlert (drums, percussion, background vocals). Audio Remasterer: Jan Kahlert.

Phallus Dei CD (1969)
Bonus Tracks
The post-psychedelic German phenomenon known as Krautrock pretty much starts here. The 1969 release PHALLUS DEI was the first album by Amon Duul II, who had split off from the more shambling, hippie-type communal outfit Amon Duul. The former had a darker, edgier spirit, and a greater sense of direction. That's not ...

INNER SPACE features the same lineup as 1978's OUT OF REACH, and tracks like "Sodom" and "Ethnological Forgery Series No. 99" see the outfit making ...

Vive La Trance CD (1973) Bonus Tracks
Amon Düül ll's extraordinary 1973 album finds the influential German art rock band working surprisingly well in a short song format while still stamping the music with their unique sound. "Fly United," "Trap," and "Ladies Mimikry" show diverse styles of pop and rock running happily into each other with memorably quirky results. The instrumentation ...

Carnival in Babylon CD (1972)
Amon Düü II's follow-up to their landmark double-LP set Tanz der Lemminge features a musical approach less experimental than previous recordings, but nonetheless distinctive and broad-reaching in its sphere of influences. The almost epic tack of the earlier works has been pared down here, but full-forward, guitar-heavy tracks like "C.I.D. in Uruk," "Ballad of ...

Live in London CD (1974)
Vortex music CDs A curious release in the Amon Düül II catalog -- originally it appeared only in Britain, and then as an astonishingly cheap budget release -- Live in London is, unsurprisingly, exactly what it says it is. Recorded near the end of 1972, it features the full-band lineup performing songs mostly from Yeti and Tanz ...
