 Can a person be any more slept on???
I dunno if its because she is white, or freaky but this cd is simply amazing.. I hear all the time people say there is no talent anymore, well ladies and gentlement if this isnt it what the hell is?? if you like Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, etc then this cd is a absolute MUST HAVE! After a long day of work, run the bath and pop the cd in, and forget the horrible world we live in!

 Let it ride!
First of all: WELCOME BACK ESTHERO! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR YOUR RETURN! Okay, with that being said, let me just say that Esthero does everything but disappoint with this highly anticipated sophomore album. There is a kaleidoscope of music flavors from the smooth reggae sound of "Blanket Me In You" to the happening jazz club sound of "Melancholy Melody". You can hear the influence of Sean Lennon's father in the opening notes of "Everyday is a Holiday With You" (which is inspired by Kenna, by the way, and only someone as cool as Esthero would be hip to Kenna!)and Cee-Lo's verse on "Gone" will send warm chills through your soul. "Beautiful Lie", one of two tracks produced soley by Esthero, takes us back to the style of grooves we fell in love with on "Breath From Another", her sadly slept-on first album and "My Torture" is so sorrowfully sexy it hurts! In short, Esthero has set her "Musical Revolution" off with a bang, proving that even "Wikked Lil Grrrls" can be super-sweet!

 Wikked Lil Review
Wikkid lil Girrls is Esthero's ambitious major label release from Warner/Reprise. The album is a hidden Gem of sorts, sorta like Esthero herself. The album was not a commercial success, (and Esthero's still pissed!)due in part by it's seven year delay, change in musical style, and sometimes pedestrian major label deput collaborations. However, the artists sophmore disc really is a complex masterpiece and a departure from her first disc 1998's Breath from Another Sony/Netwerk....And that's the problem!, her fan's expected Breath from another 2, a triphop/electronica laiden tour de force, but all we got was a jazzy, swinger style romp. The entire disc has a chilled out vibe, Lots of Horn arrangements, hooks, diverse song styles, spoken word, ideas and melodies. The artist hits home with many of her thoughts and opinion's on relationships, the state of music, and love However, she can be reckless with her rightiousness, at times. The album is not without it's faults, but it certainly is worth a purchase or second listen. Esthero has many personas and Aliases and this "acting" is reflected in her music and live performances. Esthero's voice is beautiful and spands 8 octaves! but many of these songs don't allow her star talent to shine. I recommend the O.G Bitch remix's 2004 reprise and The Fastlane remixes reprise 2005. Esthero has many personas including A.K.A: Jen(ey),da lil pink, pixie, peachcup, pirate, from da T-Dot. She enjoys reggae music culture and making myspaces for her dog, Oboe. (yes, I'm serious)

 This is my girl, but........................................
I love Esthero, but I was not feelin' this cd. I've been waitin' since '98 for some new stuff and I personally think it could've been way better. Maybe I need to listen to it again. I like a few songs, but for the most part..... I still love you girl!

 A Breath of Fresh Air
Esthero is on some other ish. She gives it to you straight up. She is REAL MUSIC. Not that typical commerialized mess we hear on a daily. This chick takes you to different places and different moods with her album. If you ain't got it then you are missin out. This is a must have cd. One of the best cd purchases I have ever made. Go out and cop this cd and share in the great energy she is bringing.
