| | Marrakech Express CD - Import
This compilation presents a well-selected set of Middle Eastern pop songs, including "Marrakech," "El Layali," and "Kidda."
A special collection of Arabic music and beats that were used as the background for Fashion Week in Paris as well as runway shows in New York, London and Milan. This compilation is the result of careful music research in Marrakech, Morrocco and presents the city's spirit through the music of some of the most famous artists in the world: Alabina, Khaled, Faudel, Rachid Taha, Elissa, Natacha Atlas and more. All the sounds from the Kasbah to the Film Festival of Marrakech and the Palais Royal are captured in the 12 tracks presented here. The compilation comes wrapped in a high gloss, silver-embossed digipak, featuring a fascinating image taken by two professors of the Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris III University, expert connoisseurs of Moroccan arts. The photographs featured in the accompanying 12 page booklet were lensed especially for this project, taken in the desert and in Marrakech itself. Marrakech Express album
$15.05 Despite his status as one of hip-hop's most prolific artists, Z-Ro never quite spreads himself too thin. The provocatively titled COCAINE is his second release from 2009, and features his trademark self-aware, yet rapier-sharp lyrics over some of the hotter beats out of the fertile Houston scene. The Intro skilfully sets out the landscape as the dark-vocaled MC reflects upon his choice of a life of street dealing without a shred of remorse, while stressing his decision ...

| | Tricky Mission Accomplished CD (2001) Extended Play
Marrakech Express music CDs
$8.99 "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" contains 3 brand new songs plus one highly sought after track previously available only as a bootleg.
It isn't that Tricky is no longer elaborating on his signature sound -- turning out variations of Maxinquaye would perhaps be regressive, but it would also still be enjoyable -- but that he's burrowed into bitter, nasty self-parody. It's little wonder that Island decided to cut its losses while the label could, since he's become positively obsessed with two things: proving his street hip-hop credibility (without changing his sound, mind you) and dwelling on his lack of commercial success. This might not be a death knell if he demonstrated a willingness to change, but he's stubbornly sticking to the sound he settled on with Pre-Millennium Tension. Not bad, at least sonically, but certainly not groundbreaking -- an impression ...
