| | Legs Diamond Uncut Diamond CD - Import Legs Diamond Discography of CDs
You won't hear Legs Diamond on your average classic rock station, but those DJ's need to wise up and look past their Stones and Doors records. Reissued in 2005, this, the group's fourth album, features 13 cuts including "Winds Of Fortune" and "Smother Me."
2005 release that will delight longtime fans of the band, that the band’s legendary lost fourth album has finally been released! It's an album that could have been the follow-up of “Firepower”. According to keyboard player Michael Prince, the 14 songs were all recorded live to 2 track in November 1979, without any overdubs. Although “Uncut Diamond” sounds heavier than its predecessor, it also shows that Sanford, Romeo, Diamond, Prince and Poole were flirting with other music genres such as disco, funk and even reggae. For lovers of classic hard rock and lovers of the 1980's US scene, this is invaluable stuff.

Uncut Diamond album
$10.29 When Saga started out in the late '70s, their culmination of keyboards and guitar presented them with a sound that was nothing short of progressive. As the '80s approached, they began to slim down their long instrumental rock suites and play shorter songs with more lyrics, eventually taking on a sound that veered more toward a commercial feel. Behaviour represents a little of both, with some of the tracks gleaming with radio savvy while a few still involve the band's unmistakable progressive flair but to a lesser extent. "Take a ...

$11.99 With most contemporary country artists, you could guarantee that a song called "American Ride" would be a slice of jingoism, but Toby Keith isn't like most country singers. His "American Ride" casts a cynical eye at desperate housewives and wannabe pop stars, not celebrating down-home values but wondering where we're all headed on this American Ride at the end of the 2000s, a ...

$8.99 "Forever In Love" won the award for Instrumental Composition in the 36th Annual Grammy Awards. "Sentimental" was nominated for Best Pop Instrumental Performance in the 37th Annual Grammy Awards.
Kenny G is the quintessence of easy listening. His listener-friendly soprano sax is accessible to all--no hot jazz riffs, no wailing emotions, just easy-to-take, new age pop music.
From the warm notes of the opening "The Joy Of Life" you know you are in a tranquil, meditative territory. Whether he is "Forever In Love" or walking "In The Rain," whether he is feeling "Sentimental" or all "Alone," this album is all about feelings. Kenny is an accomplished enough player to express those feelings through his distinctive, clear tones. The calm palette of his sound is made up of blissful blues and gentle greens, nothing brighter, nothing deeper; and it succeeds as such. Kenny's sax is up-front, with the subdued background ...

$15.19 "The songs on Soup Bone's debut are crawling tarantulas, haunting and unignorable in presence, memorable in form. Their unnerving honesty and close-to-home subject matter will make you squirm with uneasiness (a good squirmy), each a mini film which perfectly captures a separate sliver of the human condition". -Martin England Showcase Magazine "these guys are making a dark kind of coffeehouse rock, a strangely unique sound that seems like what a Sap-era Alice In Chains would be doing had they gone on a serious Tom Jones bender". -Jamie Perkins Spotlight MagazineThrow away any pre-conceived misconceptions about Rock/Metal not being able to co-habitate with acoustic instruments. The Soupbone Throne lays those arguments to rest. With a genre-defying sound, and dark, mysterious, lyrical content, the band proves that when it comes to their music, they follow no rules, and take no prisoners.Hailing from the Seacoast area of New Hampshire, where their shows have reached legendary status, the band is rapidly conquering the rest of New England. Performances at the 2004 Mill City Festival in NH, The prestigious Middle East Nightclub in Cambridge, MA, Geno's in Portland,ME, the home of leather clad Rock n' Rollers, and Copperfield's at Fenway Park in Boston,MA, among many, many other shows, have only cemented the bands reputation as excellent songcrafters, brilliant musicians, and fantastic showmen. The Soupbone Throne's music can be heard on radio stations nationwide, such as WXRV-FM in ...

Uncut Diamond songs
$15.05 On their third album, the slightly cryptic but not otherwise forbidding Boats -- at base Craig Tattersall and Andrew Hargreaves, plus friends -- create another restrained delight. Calling the combination of crisp glitch pulse and calm tones that open the album "A Sincere Fuck You" might seem off-putting to some but to be honest, nobody would have blinked an eye if Mogwai had called a song that. The duo's style at this point is an extremely spare-sounding (but still heavily detailed in its own subtle way) mix of impulses familiar to anyone who loves ambient Eno, early Warp releases, acts like Hood and Piano Magic and the now monumental impact of Radiohead's Kid A in particular, though almost without a hint of rock & roll in the Boats' case. Songs skitter through the album like nervous mice thanks to the percussion which, some tunes aside, is barely there; while glitch is no new move in general, though, it's still used deftly on many songs such as "The List of Our Mistakes," where the shimmer of electronic textures provide even more overt rhythms. When the beats turn fuller, as on "I Never Had You Down as a Liar" and on the steadier clip of "I'm Talking Facts, Not Shit," the effect is to anchor the songs more fully but without losing the graceful blend of simple but captivating melodies throughout. Throughout the album vocals are provided by two singers, Chris Stewart and Elaine Reynolds, both of whom use calm, almost diffident styles that match well with the performances in a way that Vini Reilly's did for early Durutti Column efforts -- a quiet shading rather than a commanding override. ~ Ned Raggett
The well-practiced UK duo of Andrew Hargreaves and Craig Tattersall (The Remote Viewer, ex-Hood) are now up to their third album and have possibly come up with their most defined statement yet. After conquering the mighty piano on their homespun and ...
