Jeff Healey Band - Live At Montreux 1999 review
$23.25 Numerous guitar legends gathered together in June of 2004 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, to play a benefit show for Eric Clapton's Crossroads Center, a nonprofit addiction treatment facility in Antigua. Offering a stunning array of legendary acts, the talent assembled for the show was a music lover's dream come true, and this document of the event allows those who weren't there to experience the magic. Including performances by BB King, James Taylor, Carlos Santana, Joe Walsh, Jimmie Vaughn, John Mayer, Robert Cray, and Clapton himself, among many others.
In June of 2004, some of the greatest living guitar players and their bands gathered at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas for a three-day festival to benefit the Crossroads ...

Jeff Healey Band - Live At Montreux 1999 DVD
$12.39 Renowned guitarist Gary Moore devoted much of his early career to playing metal-tinged hard rock, first as a member of 1970s bands Skid Row, Thin Lizzy, and Colosseum II, and then as a solo artist throughout the 1980s. But in the 1990s, Moore reembraced the influences of Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and Peter Green for a return to his first love, the blues. This concert captures the revamped Moore and his backing band The Midnight Blues at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1990, performing tracks from that year's STILL GOT THE BLUES ...
| | G3 - Live In Tokyo DVD (2005) Sony Music
Jeff Healey Band - Live At Montreux 1999 movie DVD
$9.69 G3, a guitar supergroup that features top-tier shredders Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and John Petrucci, is a guitar-lover's dream come true. The band's usual high energy is cranked up even higher on this live Tokyo date, and the amount of heavy riffing and blistering leads throughout the set is mightily ferocious. Petrucci, who rose to prominence in the progressive metal band Dream Theater, distinguishes himself here, and proves that his six-string skills are on par with revered axe-slinging of Vai and Satriani. In addition to some extended jams, there are covers of classic, guitar-defining rock songs (Deep Purple's "Smoke On ...

| | Minor Threat - Live DVD (1980)
Jeff Healey Band - Live At Montreux 1999 review
$13.05 Their carefully selected name, Minor Threat, perfectly captures their attitude -- that non-threatening rage against the culture of adults and authority, the frustration at their own ineffectuality to turn anger into major change. Ian MacKaye (to many, the God of punk rock) was only a teenager when he and his friends formed the seminal D.C. punk band Minor Threat, but his idealistic and loud brand of youthful rage created an entire movement. Ian-penned lyrics to songs like "Screaming at a Wall" and "Out of Step" capture the volatile alienation of punk rock perfectly, while "Straight Edge" -- a tirade against the degrading effects of drugs and alcohol -- pioneered an entire subculture. Minor Threat's visceral energy and palpable rage is perfectly captured on this live video release. Filmed at the legendary (to punks, at least) D.C. Space in 1980, Ian and the boys perform eighteen of their loud, fast classics.
Minor Threat played one of its last shows at Washington DC’s 930 Club in June of 1983; they would only play once more in DC. Two years later, the tapes from the 930 show were edited together and Dischord Records released them as the Minor Threat Live VHS video in 1986. Along with the 40 minute 930 performance, the DVD includes a 35 minute ...

Jeff Healey Band - Live At Montreux 1999 movie DVD
$16.45 The Beatles early years are relived and remembered in this fascinating look at the Hamburg Star Club-era of the band. Amongst those recollecting the innocent days of the Fab Four are former Beatles manager Allan Williams; Star Club Manager Horst Fascher; And of course Tony Sheridan, who performed with The Beatles in Germany and was instrumental in getting Ringo into the band after the wayward Pete Best was unceremoniously fired. A fascinating and important artefact, THE BEATLES WITH TONY SHERIDAN offers a warmly nostalgic glance at the beginnings of a band who defined an era.
First DVD release of this early Beatles collection in the days when the Beatles were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Tony Sheridan and Pete Best. Lots ...
