Resisting Success / If At First You Don't Succed
$27.95 Aussie rockers Midnight Oil have achieved success all across the globe, and REDNECK WONDERLAND helped cement their reputation on its release in 1998.
For this, its 12th full-length album, Midnight Oil re-hired producer Warne Livesey, who had worked with them on their biggest international successes, Diesel and Dust and Blue Sky Mining. He helped them to achieve a sound that was a virtual compendium of familiar late-'60s rock styles -- Led Zeppelin on the title track, the Beatles on "Safety Chain Blues," the Who on "Blot," the Beach Boys on "Drop in the Ocean." At least, that was true musically; the vocals were sometimes ...

| | Bruce Dickinson Skunkworks CDs (1996) Bonus Tracks; Remastered; Deluxe Edition
Resisting Success / If At First You Don't Succed
$18.69 Displaying a sometimes Rush-like refined prog groove and plenty of his traditional science-and-literature lyrical themes, Bruce Dickinson deserves high marks for Skunkworks, the ex-Iron Maiden vocalist's fourth solo effort. This 1996 release signals Dickinson's tentative shift toward music generally in tune with (but still somewhat restrained when compared to) his seminal work with Maiden. The occasionally over-serious, high-concept imagery is about what fans would expect, but the open, less metallic accompaniment (that still rocks by any standard) has a non-chronological familiarity. Joining the singer on Skunkworks are musicians Alex Dickson (guitars), Alex Elena (drums), and Chris Dale (bass). Highlight tracks include "Solar Confinement," which while lyrically murky, has a great chorus, and the Soundgarden-esque "I Will Not Accept the Truth." "Headswitch" is also a treat, with its updated Deep Purple groove. This track also features some of Dickson's best work. A year after Skunkworks, Dickinson joined up with former Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith and made a more defined return to classic form. Most agree that the Smith period ...

Resisting Success / If At First You Don't Succed
$10.39 Hi this J.D. Bauman.some of my favorite country singers have came from California, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Gary Allen, off the top of my head. I worked on this album for over a year trying to preserve some of country music's most precious traditions just as they would have. I had help with some of Nashville's best players from the past and present. In no particular order I like to list some of these players. if you listen to country radio you have probably heard them a million times already.Chad Cromwell on drums. Chad is a monster on drums. Chad’s studio works with artists such as Sugarland, Gretchen Wilson, Trisha Yearwood, Marty Stewart, Neil Young, and Miranda Lambert.Glenn Worf on bass. Glenn is the bass player of all bass players.having credits on Brooks and Dunn's,George strait,Reba McEntire, Jason Michael Carroll,Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton,Toby Keith, Kellie Pickler, Faith Hill, and George Jone's albums and that's just in 2009Bruce boutin on steel guitar, Bruce is Garth Brook's right-hand man. Bruce says played on every Garth Brooks album ever released. He also played steel guitar on some of Brooks and Dunns first albums that shaped their mega-careers.Bruce is currently on tour with Reba McEntire.Chris Leuzinger on lead guitar,Chris was also on all of the Garth Brooks records. If you have the time looked up Chris on Google or Yahoo there is not enough room on this page to even begin to tell you what Chris has done in his career.George Martinelli on acoustic guitar,George Is an A list session player. George taught me about how Nashville recording works. any time I walked away after having a conversation with him, I walked away a wiser man, thanks George.Richard Bennett on the electric guitar,Richard Bennett’s résumé is just silly; it’s just flat out ridiculous. Not only has the guy been with Mark Knopfler’s studio and road band since the mid-1990’s but he spent seventeen ...
