This is clearly underlined in the live recording made in September 2002 at the Paris New Morning club. The New Morning - The Paris Concert DVD contains twelve great tracks, where all of the musicians involved show themselves to be fantastic soloists. High points are the new versions of "Crosswinds", "Dreamer", "Mister BC", "Dessiccated Coconuts", "Stratus" and "Spectrum". As a bonus there is a recording of a sound check, where Billy Cobham and his new musical companions obviously had a lot of fun. Musicians: Per Gade, guitar, Stefan Rademacher, bass, Marcos Ubeda, keyboards and Junior Gills, percussion & steel drums. Drummer Billy Cobham joins several equally successful musicians (including Per Gade (guitar), Marcos Ubeda (keyboard), Junior Gills (percussion, steel drums), and Stefan Rademacher (bass) in this concert release. Filmed during September of 2002 at the famous European jazz club New Morning, CULTUREMIX captures the band performing 12 live numbers that highlight each musician's ability through extensive solo instrumentals. In addition to the main performance, which contains the songs "Dreamer," "Desiccated Coconuts," and "Mister BC" among others, CULTUREMIX features a live sound-check.
This is the only Per Gade video. Stars also making their debut in this video: Junior Gills, Stefan Rademacher, Marcos Ubeda. Billy Cobham - Culturemix: New Morning Paris Concert review
$11.49 Legendary pianist Chick Corea remains a towering figure in the world of jazz music, first as a keyboard player for Miles Davis during the trumpeter's groundbreaking BITCHES BREW era in the late-'60s, and then as co-founder (with bassist Stanley Clarke) of the seminal jazz-fusion band Return to Forever. This concert film captures the jazz icon performing at the 2004 Montreux Jazz Festival with the Chick Corea Elektric Band, which features Corea on keyboards, John Patitucci on bass, Frank Gambale on guitar, Dave Weckl on drums, and Eddie Marienthal on saxophone. Corea's rhythmic style and uniquely inventive approach to improvisation are on full display in the electrifying two-and-a-half-hour performance, which features live renditions ...

Billy Cobham - Culturemix: New Morning Paris Concert movie DVD
$7.89 As viewers who have seen Renny Harlin's DEEP BLUE SEA will attest, training sharks to help mankind is never a good idea. The "Blue Demon" project is an attempt by a team of scientists to train Great White sharks to protect America's coastline from any intruders. But when the sharks are inexplicably let loose in an act of sabotage, all hell breaks loose as the predators follow their natural instincts, and the coastal tides are soon awash with the deep red stuff. Michelle Pfeiffer's sister Dedee stars in this ...

Billy Cobham - Culturemix: New Morning Paris Concert video
$22.29 The Who are known as one of the greatest live rock bands of all time, and the concert films presented here do nothing to dispute that claim. One is a memorable performance of their brilliant rock opera TOMMY, taped at a 1989 concert in Los Angeles's Universal Amphitheatre. The story of a deaf, dumb, and blind pinball whiz, this show featured high-caliber guest musicians like Elton John, Billy Idol, Phil Collins, Steve Winwood, and Patti LaBelle. The second film here presents a powerhouse rendition of The Who's second opus, QUADROPHENIA, ...

Billy Cobham - Culturemix: New Morning Paris Concert DVD
$9.09 In 1994, writer-director Kevin Smith scored a surprise indie hit with the low-budget, black-and-white CLERKS, which won awards at the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals and has attracted a growing cult audience over the years. Following such movies as MALLRATS, CHASING AMY, and DOGMA, Smith returns to his roots for CLERKS II, a very funny, very raunchy sequel. It's been more than 10 years, but Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) are still working at the same Quick Stop video and convenience store in New Jersey--until it burns down. They both end up finding jobs at the nearby Mooby's, a fast-food joint (with the motto "I'm Eating It!") managed by Becky (Rosario Dawson). While Dante gets prepared to move to Florida to marry Emma (Smith's real-life wife, Jennifer Schwalbach), Randal harasses geeky "Funployee of the Month" Elias (Trevor Fehrman), a dweeb who worships the Transformers and believes, much to Randal's consternation, that THE LORD OF THE RINGS ...
