| | Classic Soul Ballads CD (1 Customer Review)
Time-Life's Classic Soul Ballads most definitely lives up to its name. Jumping with ease from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, the disc is sure to set the love light to simmer with tracks like Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing," Teddy Pendergrass's "Turn Off the Lights," Regina Belle's "Baby Come to Me," and the Stylistics' "Betcha by Golly, Wow." With love comes pain, so there are a few heartbreakers like Earth, Wind & Fire's "After the Love Has Gone" and the Chi-Lites' "Have You Seen Her" mixed in to keep things real. They don't really spoil the flow, and if you don't listen to the words, the smooth sounds will pave right over the tears and keep the mood intact. Extra credit for the inclusion of the wonderful Isley/Jasper/Isley gem "Caravan of Love." ~ Tim Sendra

$15.19 It’s rare to see a female MC. Or DJ. Rarer still to see a female music producer. To see one who deftly combines all three aspects in a live electronic act is virtually unheard of – until now.Singing since she was a child in various choirs and theatre productions, ill-esha has always integrated her voice into her musical endeavors. After being told she didn’t sound “rock” enough in her garage band years, ill-esha found a more accepting home in the world of electronic music – making her first appearances in the late 90s as a vocalist and quickly picking up a set of decks to become the first female in the international drum & bass scene ...
