New Orleans hip-hop crew Partners-N-Crime specialize in the frenetic, richly produced beats and hands-in-the-air, chant-along raps that characterize a lot of Dirty South recordings. Case in point, 2006's CLUB BANGAZ is, as the title indicates, devoted to uptempo, body-moving party jams with more than enough bounce to the ounce.
CLUB BANGAZ is the group's first release on Juvenile's UTP label, giving PNC a newfound cachet. Unlike Juvenile, however, PNC rarely delve into street narrative or social commentary, preferring to keep the party rocking with danceable beats and lyrics about club life and the pleasures of the flesh.
This is an example of the Southern Rap "screwed" mix style.
