And indeed, thats what she does! 29 year old Ana Popovic proves with her own songs and fresh interpretations that she is an excellent and expressive guitarist with a powerful voice. Anas groovy music is not suitable for blues purists - she stands for modern and cross-border blues with rock, soul and jazz elements. Only 29 at the time this concert was filmed, Yugoslavian-born singer-songwriter Ana Popovic displays great maturity, guitar skill, and a deep understanding of blues music. While clearly indebted to the classic blues genre, Ana's modern songs also incorporate jazz, soul, and rock flavors. Ana shows off her powerful voice at this concert in Amsterdam with songs including "Don't Bear Down On Me," "Long Way Home," and "Bigtown Playboy," among others.
