| | Kelly Osbourne Sleeping In The Nothing CD Kelly Osbourne Discography of CDs
A quick look at photo of Kelly Osbourne adorning the back cover of SLEEPING IN THE NOTHING will undoubtedly draw its share of double takes. The sneering, fuchsia-topped faux-punk look Osbourne was best known for is replaced by a sleeker, more sophisticated gun-metal-black bob complete with designer duds. Her music underwent an equally radical transformation. The aggressive pop-punk of her 2002 debut SHUT UP is displaced by Human League-like synth-driven dance music on SLEEPING. Credit producer Linda Perry, who pushed Osbourne to write about recent personal tribulations and hone her vocal phrasing. The strident vocal style endemic to the Osbourne's more aggressive prior output has been replaced by a smoother croon that brings to mind Berlin's Terri Nunn. As a result, songs touching on the singer's pre-rehab struggles ("Save Me") and familial strains ("One Word") are adorned by synth swooshes and echoey guitar tones that conjure up images of The Pet Shop Boys and the Psychedelic Furs. The only time Osbourne resorts to her prior singing style is on the understandably vituperative date-rape screed "Don't Touch Me While I'm Sleeping." SLEEPING IN THE NOTHING marks Kelly Osbourne's transition from punk-pop ingenue to dance-pop diva.
Personnel: Kelly Osbourne (vocals); Alephonsine DeChambure (spoken vocals); Linda Perry (various instruments, programming); Marc Jameson (drum programming).

| | The Very Best Of Enya CDs (2009) With DVD
Sleeping In The Nothing songs
$21.00 Comprised of 18 tracks culled from the singer/composer's first three decades, The Very Best of Enya was pieced together by the artist herself, along with longtime collaborators Nicky and Roma Ryan. Luckily, the trio seems enamored by most of the same songs that the general public is, resulting in one of those rare "greatest-hits" collections that goes deep without depriving the listener of the essentials. With tunes like "Orinoco Flow," "Caribbean Blue," and "Book of Days" in the pot and out of the way, it's easier to appreciate hidden gems like "Cursum Perficio," "Boadicea," "Trains and Winter Rains," and "Anywhere Is." Also notable is the inclusion of "May It Be" and a previously unreleased version of "Aníron (I Desire)," both of which originally appeared on the soundtrack for the first chapter of Peter Jackson's beloved Lord of the Rings trilogy. ~ James Christopher Monger

Sleeping In The Nothing music CDs
$13.35 PETER FOLDY was born in Hungary and raised in Sydney, Australia where he was influenced toward a career in music after forging a friendship with three brothers who would later find international success as the BEE GEES. After a family move to Toronto, Foldy enrolled in film school but supported himself by playing in rock bands. When a young music executive heard some of his demos, Foldy was quickly signed to a small, indie label, Kanata Records. His first recording, “BONDI JUNCTION” quickly reached number one on RPM's Adult Contemporary Chart, received two Juno Award nominations and was a legitimate pop hit across Canada. An album entitled “Peter Foldy” soon followed. Before long Foldy was lured to Capitol/EMI Canada, and the records, “ROXANNE” and “JULIE-ANN” also climbed to Top 10 status on charts across Canada and the US.When his Capitol deal ended three years later, Foldy moved to Los Angeles where a chance meeting with Tina Turner’s manger, led to a deal on RCA's brand new Free Flight label. Foldy continued his musical momentum with “LOVE CITY”, and “SCHOOL OF LOVE”, songs he both wrote and for the first time, co-produced. When Free Flight abruptly shut it's doors, Foldy decided to turn his attention back to film production, selling a screenplay, HOT MOVES, which became ...
| | Felix Culpa L'Heureuse Erreur CD (2009)
Sleeping In The Nothing songs
