Drawing on Greggs extensive experience with a wide range of artists from Maynard Ferguson, Don Henley and Santana to Toto, Linda Ronstadt, Larry Carlton and Ringo Starr as well as his own solo projects, this educational DVD clearly defines what the often used term playing for the music really means. In this four-hour-long instructional, he shares his invaluable experience and knowledge with students, putting to use the wide diversity of music genres he has worked with, in an exploration of the oft-cited phrase "playing for the music." Gregg advises up-and-coming drummers to gain an understanding of as many different styles as possible, by listening to and really experiencing a diversity of music.
