Christina Ricci, Joshua Jackson, Shannon Elizabeth, Portia de Rossi, Judy Greer, Milo Ventimiglia, and Mya star in this unrated version. With CURSED, screenwriter Kevin Williamson and director Wes Craven (SCREAM) take another playful trip to the dark side. This time around, their sights are set on one of the horror genre's most popular subjects: werewolves. Set in an ultra-hip modern Los Angeles, the film tells the tale of siblings Ellie (Christina Ricci) and Jimmy (Jesse Eisenberg), who have yet to fully come to terms with the loss of their parents. Ellie works at "The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn" and dates ladies' man Jake (Joshua Jackson), while Jimmy is a less-than-popular high school student with a crush on the prettiest girl in school (Kristina Anapau). But one night, after Ellie and Jimmy get into a car accident on Mulholland Drive, they are bitten by what appears to be a bona fide werewolf. Soon, both brother and sister are exhibiting behavior that can only mean one thing--that they, too, have been cursed.
A troubled production history notwithstanding, Craven's film remains a fast-paced, clever addition to the genre. Featuring a star-studded supporting cast (including Mya, Judy Greer, and Shannon Elizabeth), as well as an energetic modern rock soundtrack, CURSED takes viewers on a thrill-ride through the dark side of Los Angeles. Cursed Movie Review Average Rating: (2.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Unrated Is Awesome!! I thought this movie was a lot of fun. We have all seen the same old werewolf movies but this one doesn't take itself so seriously and just has a lot of fun.
The story centers around a sister (played by Cristina Ricci)and her younger brother, who are involved in an accident with an unknown animal and both are bitten by the unseen monster. Soon both realize that something is not right as they begin to exhibit the signs of a human who has bitten by a werewolf.
There are twists and turns and Craven makes you think the villian is one person or the next. The other actors (Joshua Jackson plays Ricci's love interest) have fun with their roles. There are also funny cameos by Scott Baio and Craig Kilborn.
If you are looking for a gory, spine tingling thrill fest, you may be disappointed. This is a campy film that gives you some quick scares but mainly plays for a lot of laughs. Go into it with it with a carefree attitude and I think you will enjoy it. Submitted by maddyfan2004 (Ohio) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
For What It Sets Out To Do, It Succeeds This isn't a typical scary werewolf film by any means, and it's not intended to be. The pairing of Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven automatically hints that this movie was set out to be a teenage horror movie that doesn't take itself to seriously. It is to werewolf movies what the Scream trilogy was to slasher flicks. It doesn't have as developed of a personality as Scream, but nonetheless it is a fun popcorn flick. poorest werewolf movie i ever seen !!!! Dont waste any money or time on this movie..... even the unrated version sucked it had graphic killing but no good story plot or enough killing only 4 people got killed.... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS MOVIE Submitted by dragmaunlimited & vaughjenki (cleveland,OH) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Don't Waste Your Money On This Movie! I bought "Cursed" hoping it would be a good werewolf film. What a disappointment! Instead you get computer generated transformation scenes and a werewolf that looks more like bigfoot than anything else. The storyline is pretty poor. A brother and sister get bitten by a werewolf and they begin to change during the fullmoon. There are so many things going on in this film that you get bored. As a matter of fact it's so drawn out you'll easily find yourself falling asleep. I'm selling my movie to the local used cd/dvd store tomorrow. $12.65 On THE MIND OF MANNIE FRESH, Fresh avails himself admirably as a rapper, layering sweet and often provocative rhymes over a variety of backing tracks of his own conception. On the breakbeat-boasting and Whodini-esque "Nothing Compares to Love" and the Al B. Sure!-interpolating "How We Ride," Fresh reminds the listener he was around in the early days of hip-hop, conjuring up the feel of times past. Mostly, however, Fresh's eyes are squarely focused on the future, with cutting-edge beats, particularly on "Chubby Boy" and the pulsating opening single, "Real Big."
Familiar to most of the rap world as half of Big Tymers, Mannie Fresh was active in hip-hop for years before dropping his solo debut, THE MIND OF MANNIE FRESH, in 2004. While Fresh didn't shy away from the mic as a member of the aforementioned Southern duo, his role was primarily as a DJ and an expert beat creator ...

Cursed review
$9.69 When audiences caught a glimpse of an alien skull mounted in the trophy cabinet of a Predator in the 1990 film PREDATOR 2, it seemed a franchise was about to be born. Sure enough, comic book artists immediately seized on the possibilities suggested by the brief scene, and a number of skirmishes between the deadly foes were played out on the printed page. Fans have had to endure a lengthy wait for a cinematic match-up, but writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson (EVENT HORIZON) has finally delivered the blood-splattered goods in ALIEN VS. PREDATOR. Set in the near future, a team of archaeologists lead by Charles Wiedland (Lance Henriksen, returning for more ALIEN action after appearances in the second and third films) ventures towards an inexplicable "hot zone" detected in Antarctica. Joined by Alexa Woods (Sanaa Lathan) and the requisite amount of human fodder for the otherworldly creatures to feast on, Wiedland and his cohorts discover a sizeable underground pyramid. Chaos ensues as they awake the Queen alien from her blissful slumber, causing face-hugging and chest-bursting scenes aplenty. But the ailing crew has a further quandary to grapple with in the ...

| | Seed Of Chucky DVD (2004) Widescreen; Subtitled; DTS Sound; Unrated
Cursed video
$8.79 Everyone's favorite plastic slasher doll, Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif), returns for a fifth installment of this popular horror series. Apparently Chucky and his equally murderous bride, Tiffany (voiced by Jennifer Tilly), had a child, which has grown up in a cage as part of a heavy-metal ventriloquist act in England. Eventually it (one never learns its exact gender) escapes to Los Angeles to revive mom and pop, whose doll corpses are being used for a movie based on their previous killing spree. Jennifer Tilly shows up as herself, and she's great--hamming it up as a floozy actress so desperate for the part in rapper Redman's latest film that she lures him home for a casting couch tryst, with hilarious (and fatal) results. Meanwhile, the child of Chucky is horrified by the violent murders its parents are so fond of committing and, with a little help from a 12-step book, tries to help them kick the homicide habit. Of course it's hard when there are so many deserving targets around, including John ...
