Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles One of HBO's longest running drama's, OZ returns for its fifth season, which is presented here in its entirety. The action opens with Emerald City's inmates enjoying some brand new facilities, as the experimental penitentiary has been partially rebuilt following the lethal gas explosion that wreaked havoc on the prison at the end of Season Four. But tensions still run unbearably high, with the usual mixture of infights and struggles with personal demons soon illustrating to fans of the show that we are back on very familiar territory once again. The writing, direction, and action remains of an incredibly high standard throughout, and as the tension builds towards the climax of Season Five, it's becomes clear why OZ has become such a staple of HBO's programming schedule. Oz - The Complete Fifth Season Movie Review Oz - The Complete Fifth Season DVD It's a new year, and Emerald City's got a brand-new look. The walls are cleaner, the cafeteria is bigger, and everything is fresher...everything on the outside, that is. Inside the hearts and minds of the prisoners, Oz is just as dark and raw as ever. The renovations may be complete, but the mayhem is starting all over again.

Oz - The Complete Fifth Season film
$22.69 A more organic and subdued outing than its predecessor, ARMCHAIR APOCRYPHA, 2009's NOBLE BEAST finds singer/violinist/guitarist Andrew Bird further refining his elegant, erudite brand of indie-pop. From the breezy, lilting opener "Oh No" to the wistful, strings-only "On Ho," the Chicagoan performer wanders purposefully through his own strange musical landscape, stopping off for fascinating moments such as the chiming "Fitz & Dizzyspells" and the percussive "Not a Robot, But a Ghost." Although Bird's lit-major lyrics and dynamic, classically-minded arrangements may scare off listeners looking for more immediate thrills, those who allow BEAST to work its magic will be happily entranced by its considerable charms.
Released in 2007, Armchair Apocrypha proved that hyper-literate singer/songwriter, genre-bending violin player, and peerless whistler Andrew Bird had found the perfect middle ground between his increasingly austere solo sets and the full-band grandeur of his days with the Bowl of Fire, a strategy he repeats with similar results on Noble Beast, his fifth full-length solo offering and second collection for the Mississippi-based Fat Possum label. Bird, ...

$18.39 The fifth volume of Marcel Proust's legendary novel REMEMBRANCE OF THINGS PAST is the source for veteran French feminist filmmaker Chantal Akerman's remarkable film LA CAPTIVE. Following a theme common in her past films--the impossibility of true knowledge of the other, Akerman crafts a severe and stilted chamber drama out of Proust's evocative and poetic text. Simon (Stansilas Merhar) is a wealthy and sensitive French man living in a posh, if cloistered, life in Paris. Ariane (Sylvie Testud) is Simon's lover and constant companion, as well as the subject of his irritated obsessions. Not satisfied with merely loving Ariane, Simon aches to have absolute knowledge of her-- her past, her present, her thoughts, and her deeds. When ...

$34.39 Set in Manhattan's Fashion District and hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, PROJECT RUNWAY distinguishes itself from other reality shows by actually concentrating on talent. While shows like THE APPRENTICE may claim to pick winners on the basis of merit, the decisions of who is eliminated often seem random, or ratings-driven at best. In contrast, PROJECT RUNWAY focuses on the art of fashion design, which requires each contestant to possess technical skills like sewing, draping, and pattern-making, as well as a mastery of design principles and an understanding of what sells. After a cast of aspiring designers is gathered in New York City, Klum and expert judges (including Michael Kors) send them on various design missions. Using the resources of their metropolitan surroundings, and slaving away at sewing machines at Parsons School of Design, ...
