Listen closely to all of the neat little sounds in the background. There are lots of gadjots and toys used as percussion on most of the songs. This was a gifted and fun project for all and it will be entertaining for the entire family both young and old!The musicians on who played on this CD are:Brian Foutz: keyboards, hand percussion, vocals, writer and arrangerDon Bleyl: lead singer, guitar, writer and arrangerCarolyn Burell : violinist, hand percussionRob Harper : drums, percussionRon Wells : bass, writer and arrangerSteve Evans: Trumpet, hand percussion, vocals, arrangerSteve "Gadjot" McFadden: percussionist, hand percussionistand the "cricket"Ty Miyahara: Flugel Horn, hand percussion,vocals and extra sound toys The history of the group first got started in 1996, when the late John Crawford, Associate Pastor of Kingsland Baptist church in Katy, Texas approached Brian Foutz and Don Bleyl to assist in the planning of a 'vespers concert " for the church. Pastor Crawford wanted to tell of the Christ child through creative arrangements of Christmas hymns accompanying a story. Brian, Don and several other members of the praise band said "yes" and so began a tradition of a special gift of music at Christmas. In 1998 the band started sharing this gift with some of the other local churches in the Katy area. In 1999, the band needed a name that would represent our group as a project to honor God as we continued to share our gift with local churches. We found our answer in 2 Peter 1:19 (KJV) and formed what has become The Daystar Project. We have since grown to as many as ten (10) people and have begin a new journey into Praise and Worship music Why does The Daystar Project Ministry continue today? "To reach unbelievers and edify believers through music to the glory of God." We bring the message of hope, joy and salvation through Christ to the lost and hurting, as well as encourage, uplift and edify the body of Christ. We believe in Christ's healing power through prayer and we are working towards ministering to others through music and prayer. Our current group consists of members from area local churches who are jazzed to be on the set with the Daystar Project. The current make up of the Daystar Project includes; Debbie Fancher (song writer, lead singer,),Brian Foutz (writer/arranger.
