Known as Dragon Ball Z Sparking! in Japan and developed by the Fire Pro team at Spike, Tenkaichi aims to take everything that made the first three Budokai titles so popular and improve on them in every way. Rather than focus on a particular saga as the previous games did, Tenkaichi retells almost the entire DBZ story from scratch. Beginning with the arrival of Raditz in the Saiyan Saga and ending with the Goku's last journey in the Kid Buu episodes, Budokai should now hit every major plot point in the series' history. The game features a lineup of more than 60 other combatants -- the most ever in any Dragon Ball Z game -- including the entire Ginyu Force (including Guldo), all the Androids, all the Saiyans, every bad guy, and plenty of other surprises (giant monkey) will join up returning favorites like Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, Frieza, and Ginyu so that you can recreate all your favorite battles. Coolest DBZ Game EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have complete freedom to go WHEREVER
you want to go. THIS GAME ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Submitted by dYLAN (PENNCYLVANIA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Best so far!!! tion, you don't really worry about it since the gameplay pays up for all of it; the freedom of doing what you want whenever you like is great. They are MANY more moves to choose from than the pervious ones in the series, the move are not too repeatitive and every seems to play differently and have different melee attacks even if you press the same buttons. The controls are not sluggish and as i said before, doing what you like isn't that hard. The Z Battle Gate Mode Starts of a too hard and is not easy for a beginner, but I must complement Atari this time for sticking strickly to the TRUE story line of the Dragonball Z series. Without a doubt this game is truely the best and one of the most improving sequels I have seen. I give Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi a well deserved 5 out of 5 Submitted by tramaine_d (St. James, Bridgetown, Barbados) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi Hints
Misspelling - If you win any round with Mecha Freiza in the Cell games, it will instead read "Mehca Freiza". Additionally, select Vegito in the World Tournament. After you win a fight, the announcer will say "and the victor Vegito", however in the subtitles "Vegito" is spelled "Veggeto".
Wrong name - When you fight with Master Roshi in Tournament mode, the tournament announcer instead calls him "Contestant Turtle Hermit". Additionally, when fighting with Tien in any mode, use Ki Blast cannon. When you do so, instead of saying "Ki Blast Cannon!", Tien says "Tri-Beam!", which is his super finishing move's name.
Wrong subtitle - In Z Battle Gate, on the Super 17 gate when you defeat him, he says "I should have been able to absorb all that". However, the subtitle reads "I shouldn't have been able to absorb all that".
Fight Nappa with Chaoutzu and kill him without using Farewell Mr. Tien. Nappa will say "You almost gave me a scare", but the subtitles read " Kch...That was a lousy thing to do".
Wrong voices - When Goku SSJ4 and Vegeta SSJ4 fight, if Goku wins he speaks in Japanese instead of English at the end of the match.
When fighting Super Saiyan Trunks (with the tied back hair) and he executes a Finish Buster, he says it in Japanese, similar to Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22.
When using Long Haired Trunks, do his Burning Attack move. His voice will change to Japanese.
In COM vs. COM mode, if SSJ4 Goku fights and wins against SSJ4 Vegeta he will speak in Japanese after the battle, even if the Japanese voices are turned off.
