Universal Media disc made specially for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). Dedicated to the art of street dancing, YOU GOT SERVED features some of the most talented and prominent kids on the scene in a drama filmed in the streets of Los Angeles. The picture opens at the warehouse of Mr. Rad (Steve Harvey), where dance battles take the place of actual fighting. Elgin (Marques Houston) and David (Omarion) are childhood friends who are determined to make a splash in the world as street dancers. But when they lose a battle to a rival crew from Orange County, and when David finds himself falling in love with Elgin's pretty sister, Liyah (Jennifer Freeman), a heavy strain is put on their relationship. This is compounded when Elgin gets jacked selling drugs for a dangerous crime lord, while David was busy sipping milk shakes with Liyah. Eventually, another tragedy forces David and Elgin to put aside their differences and come together to win a contest that will make them $50,000 richer and land them in a video for hip-hop superstar Lil' Kim. Written and directed by Christopher B. Stokes, YOU GOT SERVED is a perfect venue to showcase the superb dancing talents of the now-defunct group B2K. Theatrical Release: JANUARY 30, 2004 (LIMITED) You Got Served Reviews: "[The dancing] is as spontaneous as it is spectacular....Choreographers Dave Scott and Shane Sparks have deftly given the dancing sequences flow and form while preserving the all-important street spirit of the moves."-- Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times "[W]hen it comes to the dancing, YOU GOT SERVED works very well on its own terms."

5 STARS??????!!!!!! What are you people thinking? I am at a loss....If there was a rating LESS then one star, this movie MORE then qualifies for it. I don't know where to even start with this turd...every horrible stereotype was portrayed in this pile of garbage, from the poor black kids from the wrong side of the tracks, to the rich white kids who are complete jerks and for some reason think they are ghetto gangsters, but grew up in the valley?should I go on? sure..the horrible script, acting, poor execution of the english language, etc. I think anyone involved in the movie ( if it can be called that) should count their blessings if there is never another movie like this ever made. But on a lighter note, at least my remote works good so I was only tortured by this thing for less then 10 minutes while I watched the paint dry on my walls ( WAY more entertaining by the way). Well that about covers my review of this..this...thing..."off the hook fo' real fo' real" Submitted by CA (Mr. Hyperbole) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful. $10.29 In 1990, coaches Sean Porter and Malcolm Moore took the Kilpatrick Mustangs--a football team of hard-core juvenile offenders from California's Camp Kilpatrick juvenile detention center--through their inaugural season, in which they reached the regional championships. In 1993, an Emmy-winning documentary, GRIDIRON GANG, aired on U.S. television. In this fictionalized version of the same name, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson stars as Porter, the coach who uses sports as a means to instill self-esteem into a group or boys for whom crime is a way of life.
A former troubled youth who used football as a means to stay off of the streets, Porter, along with Malcolm Moore (Xibit) now presides over Camp Kilpatrick, where the inmates are gang members, murderers, and drug dealers. Among them are Willie Weathers (Jade York), a gang member doing time for a botched act of revenge. Showing that old rivalries hold true even away from the streets, fellow inmate and rival gang member Calvin Owens (David Thomas) won't let Willie forget that they are sworn enemies. But once Porter introduces football as an outlet, the common goal of winning unites them in ways that no one expected. Sports films are not known for harboring O-Henry-like twists at their conclusions, and GRIDIRON GANG is no exception, but director Phil Joanou (STATE OF GRACE) keeps the proceedings gritty (especially ...

$9.79 What is the difference between a gang and a team? DJ Williams (Columbus Short) is forced to confront this question, along with the usual post-adolescent romantic and family conflicts, when his well-meaning uncle (Harry Lennix) enrolls him at his Atlanta alma mater, Truth University. His enrollment is part of a plea bargain that will save him from being imprisoned, and it is also a last resort to rescue him from the LA gang life that has already claimed his beloved brother. An avid and remarkably gifted hip-hop dancer, DJ is quickly solicited by two fraternities who want to make use of his skills on their respective step teams. DJ resists at first, equating fraternities and stepping as stultifying, upper-class activities.
Eventually DJ warms to the underdog fraternity and, with his amazing krumping, clowning, and breaking, transforms the team. More importantly, the team transforms him, providing a creative outlet and a character-building support network that help cushion the blows life keeps dealing. While the drama incorporates many overly familiar themes and subplots, ...

$25.15 The already larger-than-life story of Domino Harvey, a former Ford model turned bounty hunter, takes on mythological proportions in Tony Scott's (TRUE ROMANCE, MAN ON FIRE) fast-paced thriller. Unfolding in a nonlinear fashion as a bloodied Domino (Kiera Knightley) is interrogated by iron-faced Officer Taryn Miles (Lucy Liu), the film traces the trajectory of Domino's tumultuous life. Beginning with the death of her beloved father, the actor Laurence Harvey (THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE), Domino develops into a hard-nosed, scrappy young woman who trains with nunchucks beside her mother's luxurious pool and responds violently to anyone who crosses her. Bored with the runway and the glamorous LA life, Domino shows up for a bounty-hunter seminar. Catching the "teachers" of the seminar as they try to cut and run with the proceeds, she manages to win their respect and joins their team. This consists of Ed Mosbey (Mickey Rourke), the tough-as-nails leader and Domino's surrogate father, and Choco (Edgar Ramirez), an impulsive Venezuelan who harbors a not-so-secret love for Domino. The three form a kind ...

$10.25 Will Smith is a father struggling to take care of his young son in this touching tale based on a true story. In San Francisco circa 1981, Chris Gardner's (Smith) luck has run out. A bad business investment, a bevy of parking tickets, and back taxes in addition to rent, childcare, and groceries keep him constantly scrambling for cash. Chris thinks his luck is changing when he is accepted into a highly competitive internship program at a brokerage firm. But the internship is unpaid and soon, despite his best efforts, Chris and his five-year old son, Christopher (Jaden Christopher Syre Smith--Will Smith's real life son), find themselves homeless. Chris might spend his days training to invest and make millions, but he and Christopher spend their nights in shelters and public transportation stations.
Gardner's story is a testament not only to the love between a father and son, but also to the strength of the human spirit. Will Smith turns in a fine, nuanced performance as a man determined to protect his son and make a life for himself and his family. Jaden Smith is an adorable scene-stealer as young Christopher. The real-life father and son pairing translates well ...
