The picture opens at the warehouse of Mr. Rad (Steve Harvey), where dance battles take the place of actual fighting. Elgin (Marques Houston) and David (Omarion) are childhood friends who are determined to make a splash in the world as street dancers. But when they lose a battle to a rival crew from Orange County, and when David finds himself falling in love with Elgin's pretty sister, Liyah (Jennifer Freeman), a heavy strain is put on their relationship. This is compounded when Elgin gets jacked selling drugs for a dangerous crime lord, while David was busy sipping milk shakes with Liyah. Eventually, another tragedy forces David and Elgin to put aside their differences and come together to win a contest that will make them $50,000 richer and land them in a video for hip-hop superstar Lil' Kim. Yeah tha acting SUCKZ!!!! But it's a DANCE MOVIE!! The dancing was extreamly good. Don't look for a good story line ok??? If u want to see cool, good dancin then pick this up.

What are you people thinking? I am at a loss....If there was a rating LESS then one star, this movie MORE then qualifies for it. I don't know where to even start with this turd...every horrible stereotype was portrayed in this pile of garbage, from the poor black kids from the wrong side of the tracks, to the rich white kids who are complete jerks and for some reason think they are ghetto gangsters, but grew up in the valley?should I go on? sure..the horrible script, acting, poor execution of the english language, etc. I think anyone involved in the movie ( if it can be called that) should count their blessings if there is never another movie like this ever made. But on a lighter note, at least my remote works good so I was only tortured by this thing for less then 10 minutes while I watched the paint dry on my walls ( WAY more entertaining by the way). Well that about covers my review of this..this...thing..."off the hook fo' real fo' real"

I think this is a good movie I love Marques Houston and I also love to dance that's why I like it so much, the dvd you sent me shows a very good clear picture, I give this movie 2 thumbs up,yeah,yeah!

You got served was a good movie,I just thought it could've been a little better. Step up and Stomp the yard were a lot better. But it was still good.

In 1990, coaches Sean Porter and Malcolm Moore took the Kilpatrick Mustangs--a football team of hard-core juvenile offenders from California's Camp Kilpatrick juvenile detention center--through their inaugural season, in which they reached the regional championships. In 1993, an Emmy-winning documentary, GRIDIRON GANG, aired on U.S. television. In this fictionalized version of the same name, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson stars as Porter, the coach who uses sports as a means to instill self-esteem into a group or boys for whom crime is a way of life.
A former troubled youth who used football as a means to stay off of the streets, Porter, along with Malcolm Moore (Xibit) now presides over Camp Kilpatrick, where the inmates are gang members, murderers, and drug dealers. What is the difference between a gang and a team?
