Standard Screen; Soundtrack English Recovering drug addict Neville (Larenz Tate) is a standup comedian. His girlfriend, Niko (R&B singer Deborah Cox) is a singer. The two have an on-again/ off-again relationship which is deeply affected by their damaged family lives. Neville's mother (Barbara Williams) is in jail, having been convicted of murdering his father, an event which weighs even heavier on his white brother, Matthew (Martin Cummins), an aspiring boxer. Neville's world is also intertwined with Sister Sun (Sarah Polley), a nun with a past who understands his addiction. This acclaimed Canadian romance/drama presents an ultimately inspiring view of overcoming the past. Love Come Down Reviews: "A spare, modest, and tightly plotted drama..."

Love Come Down Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Deborah's musical voice shines bright! I enjoyed watching Deborah Cox in Love Come Down. I think she is an incredibly talented singer and actress. I believe she is deserving of more lead roles in the future. I truly can't wait to watch her talent soar above the rest! ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I`VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME Firt of all, let me start off by saying, that it`s rare that we see mopvies out there that deal with real issues, so this was definitely a breath of fresh air. I think the paring of Larenz Tate and Deborah Cox was a great idea, but the most poignant subject in this movie, which is often overlooked in a lot of is diversity in families. I hope that anyone who hasan`t seen this movie will go& out purchase the DVD, and that anyone who has, will encourage their friends to watch it. It`s a real eye opener. $12.85 The feature film debut of Hayao Miyazaki (NAUSICAÄ OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND, PRINCESS MONONOKE), THE CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO depicts one adventure of the master thief Lupin and his rough-around-the-edges gunman, Jigen. Something of a cross between Batman, James Bond, and Cary Grant's character in TO CATCH A THIEF, Lupin is a suave ladies' man who is also given to feats of athletic daring, aided by a gadget filled belt that gets him out of more than a few scrapes. The plot has Lupin and Jigen traveling to the sleepy little country of Cagliostro and coming to the aid of the unwilling fiance of the diabolical Count Cagliostro. After CAGLIOSTRO, Miyazaki stopped creating "slapstick" feature films in favor ...

$10.29 Director John Boorman explores the tension between primitive and developed societies in this film starring Powers Boothe as engineer Bill Markham. While working on a dam on the Amazon in Brazil, Bill's son, Tommy (William Rodriquez), disappears while wandering in the forest, presumably kidnapped by Indians. A decade elapses, and the father continues to comb the jungle in search of the missing child, while shepherding the dam to completion. During one such search, Bill is wounded after a showdown with the Fierce People, an Indian tribe led by Jacareh (Claudio Moreno), and is rescued by a blond Indian teenager he recognizes as his son ...

Love Come Down video
$7.09 Focusing on the failed relationship of a thirtysomething couple, French director Francois Ozon (SWIMMING POOL, UNDER THE SAND) organizes this film into five chapters they shared together. In backwards chronology, the first chapter of Marion (Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi) and Gilles's (Stephane Freiss) story has them signing divorce papers, and the last chapter shows the first sparks of romance between them years earlier. A master of controlling his audience's emotions, Ozon elicits vast sympathies for each character, making their relationship--and especially, the problems they cannot live with--more painful with each new detail revealed about Marion and Gilles. We see them alone in their darkest moments as they sit staring into space, smouldering with bitter helplessness at how the relationship is irreversibly wrong. And we see them love, and spar, and hurt each other in ways that seem unimaginable until the full picture is painted. It is this hurt that makes Marion, with her big, defeated, glassy blue eyes, unable to look at Gilles as they review the terms of their divorce. And it is this same hurt that culminates in Gilles raping Marion in a hotel room, brokenhearted and enraged at losing her love. How did this twosome wind up in such a miserable state? The remaining chapters--which pull viewers backwards by their heartstrings--reveal ...
