Unfortunately this dvd is only 41 minutes long with 14 songs compiled from the original vhs 4 volumes and christmas videos. The 14. song is not sung by Mahalia but by a male quartet.New on dvd are the songs 'O come all ye faithfull' and 'Silent Night' and the sound or picture quality is not better than the vhs-videos.If you can get it cheap it is o.k. but much more better are the vhs-tapes of the real Mahalia Jackson Collection from Xenon pictures.

she was and still is the worlds greatest gospel singer.her music isn't recorded on todas equipment but still yet it's the best in gospel music,give me that old time religion,thats what i have to have.mahalia's songs make u feel like with god u can move or change or fix whatever is wrong i your life.there's no one on this earth that can sang like haley.she's ws and will always be my gospel queen..mahalia rules!!!!!!!!5 stars.

this was like a personal present from the entertainment industry to me, such a wonderfull collection was like in a dream after that long time period without any mahalia jackson documents for the public, and my heart is hoping for another great collection like this.even if the recordings seem to be very old from the quality, it was from mahalia´s art-peek with many songs that are not even released in audio-format by sony before.also the great mildred falls is a part of the orchestra.to me it is the biggest and nicest legacy from mahalia.stefan stolle, germany
