This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other.
In 2000, 3 Doors Down achieved major success by adding a rough-and-ready Southern-rock edge to angsty Creed-style neo-grunge. With its third album, SEVENTEEN DAYS, the Mississippi band strips its sound down even further, often adding a grinding, metallic edge. "Right Where I Belong" begins with a de-tuned, serpentine riff that is equal parts Soundgarden and Superjoint Ritual, while "Let Me Go" is a dark, mid-tempo groover reminiscent of Staind's biggest radio hits. "Landing in London" is a weary life-on-the-road ballad that recalls both Kiss's "Beth" and Bob Seger's "Turn the Page," and, in fact, features the Michigan rocker on guest vocals. A collection of memorable songs that finds frontman Brad Arnold addressing themes of alienation and strained relationships in a Ronnie Van Zant-like whiskey-soaked voice, SEVENTEEN DAYS should appeal to those fans who like their arena rock deep-fried.
This dualdisc includes the entire album in advanced resolution surround and stereo, and in Dolby digital surround and stereo, bonus tracks in stereo only, videos, lyrics, catalog, gallery, and bio.

Decent but not their best
Its only good song is 'Let me go' (which I love) but if you have a choice Buy 'Better Life' its way better but still one of the best albums just because its by Three Doors Down

The album's awesome but 'Away from the sun' is much better. Only 'Let me go' is good (awesome).If you have a choice buy 'Better life'. Trust me on this

Great Tunes, Poor Surround Mix
Hello Friends, It was noted in a review of this disc on another site that the 5.1 mix is "incredible!" So I purchased this disc. While the songs were well done, especially the tune that Bob Seger guested on ("Landing In London"), the "incredible" surround was pretty much non-existent. Only near the end of the disc did the mix get lively in surround; even then, the 5.1 mix could've been so much better. Oh, well, better luck next time. Thank You

This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players.
The beautifully remastered version of the Moody Blues's 1970 back-to-basics album (translation: they cut way back on the overdubs) strips away the original aural murk at last, and includes informative liner-note interviews with the band about the recording process. Standout tracks include the classic sort-of protest song "Question" and "It's Up to You," one of singer/guitarist Justin Hayward's most authoritatively wistful riff-rockers.
There is a clear attempt to pare back the lush excesses of their earlier work in favor of a leaner rock sound, as heard on cuts like John Lodge's pell-mell "The Tortoise and the Hare." Still, one of the album's standouts is Ray Thomas's "And the Tide Rushes In," a lovely psychedelic ballad of the sort that moved the Who's Pete Townshend to remark that the Moody Blues' albums ...
