Tchaikovsky - Swan Lake DVD

 SPLENDID MARGOT AND NUREYEV!!
I am by no means an experienced ballet buff. I first became aware of Margot Fonteyn with Meredith Daneman's book about the ballerina. On the back cover is the same photograph used for Tony Palmer's Film About Margot Fonteyn. I thought, what an exsquisite creature! This is my first ballet DVD, and I finally got around to giving it a good watch. I am going to guess that it is possibly the highest quality Fonteyn film out there. She is an exsquisite dancer, as are all the ballerinas. So beautiful to watch! And Nureyev...he commands your attention. In my opine, you can't go wrong with this DVD. It captures brilliantly how wonderful ballet can be.

It would be a long time before you could see 2 people who had received 89 curtain calls for this particular ballet.
