| Madame Butterfly Goes To The Movies
This opera is a movie production rather than a stage opera production. Whatever his merits as a tenor, Placido Domingo is no actor - at least on a movie set.

I frequently hear certain people say they don't like this movie version of Madama Butterfly because of 1)out of sync lip-syncing 2)bad acting 3)poor sets.

| Great opera made accessible
Puccini - Madama Butterfly review I haven't seen this production since it was first televised. Puccini - Madama Butterfly DVD for sale I've been looking for a copy ever since. As a fan of live opera, I am almost frequently disappointed by videos of stage productions.
