$7.95 Set in Texas in the 1950s, SECONDHAND LIONS tells the touching story of Walter (Haley Joel Osment), a shy teenager sent to stay with two estranged uncles for the summer. Various rumors surround the two uncles (played by Robert Duvall and Michael Caine), mostly because the duo have only recently resurfaced into family life after 40 years spent carrying out misdeeds and illicit activities. The one fact about the men, of which Walter's mom is only too aware, is that they appear to be extremely wealthy, having stashed over one million dollars in cash at an undisclosed location. After initially balking at Walter's inherent shyness and nervous disposition, the two men soon warm to the child, and proceed to tell him some incredible tales of their adventures.

In A GIRL CUT IN TWO, Gabrielle Snow (Ludivine Sagnier) has an enviable choice: between two rich, handsome men who desire her. But in this thriller from prolific French director Claude Chabrol (MERCI POUR LE CHOCOLAT), the decision isn't an easy one, and the results are far from romantic. Gabrielle meets the distinguished, married writer Charles Saint-Denis (François Berléand, THE TRANSPORTER) and is immediately captivated. At the same time, she encounters a spoiled heir, Paul (Benoît Magimel, THE PIANO TEACHER), who is equally taken with her. ...

$12.99 Jim Carrey returns to hilarious form with this romantic comedy in the same vein as the Carrey classic LIAR LIAR. After a few stints in more serious features like ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and THE NUMBER 23, Carrey seems right at home playing Carl, a divorcé who starts out the film depressed and withdrawn, scared of taking a risk. Pressured by his best friend, Peter (Bradley Cooper), to get his act together or be stuck with a lonely life, Carl attends a New Age self-help seminar intended to change "no men" like Carl into "yes men" willing to meet life's challenges with gusto. Carl is reluctant at first, but finds the seminar to be ultimately life-changing when he's coerced into giving the "say yes" attitude a try. As the first opportunity to say yes presents itself, Carl hesitantly utters the three-letter word, setting the stage for a domino effect of good rewards, and giving Carrey a platform to show off his comic chops. But over time Carl realizes that saying yes to everything indiscriminately can reap results as complicated and messy as his life had become when saying "no" was his norm.
The always-quirky Zooey Deschanel adds her signature charm as Carl's love interest, Allison. An unlikely match at first glance, the pair actually develop great chemistry as the story progresses, the actors playing off each other's different styles of humor. Rhys Darby also shines as Carl's loveable but clueless boss, and THAT 70s SHOW's Danny Masterson appears as another one of Carl's friends. While YES MAN marks no major departure from Carrey's previous work, the sweet crowd pleaser ...

While some might be confused by the rambling title, fans of the young adult novels will instantly recognize ANGUS, THONGS AND PERFECT SNOGGING. Based on the entertaining series of books by Louise Rennison, the adventures of Georgia Nicholson are finally hitting the big screen under the direction of Gurinder Chadha (BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM). Georgia (Georgia Groome) is a rambunctious, boy-crazy teen living in Eastbourne, England, where she and her mates spend their days puzzling over the strange new world of sex and boys. At the film's start, Georgia is bemoaning her horrible life: her parents are embarrassing, her little sister drives her crazy, and she's never had a real boyfriend. When she encounters a new boy at school--the dreamy Robbie (Aaron Johnson)--Georgia is determined to land him for herself. But her hopes are dashed when Robbie begins dating the school mean girl. Determined to win his affections, she tries various schemes, including kissing lessons and ...
