Kevin Smith first came into the public eye as director of the extremely low-budget D.I.Y. comedy CLERKS, announcing himself as the premier cinematic comedian of the slacker generation. DOGMA, which takes on religious subject matter, is a bit of a different direction for Smith, but he maintains his quirky sensibility. The soundtrack to the film is largely instrumental, but the opening cut is one that's certain to attract a large audience. The disc kicks off with Alanis Morissette's "Still," a slow-burning, eerie tune full of Middle Eastern modalities, somewhere between Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" and the snakier efforts of Jeff Buckley. Morissette fans who hang around for the rest of the sonic journey may be surprised to encounter a full-fledged orchestral score that melds John Williams-style soundtrack majesty with spookier Beethoven-ish moments.
Movie soundtrack from the comedy/drama was originally released in 1999 and features 10 tracks including the previously unreleased track 'Still' from Alanis Morissette. WEA. 2005.

$10.39 Like the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL franchise, GLEE became more than a TV show when several of its songs cracked the Hot 100, including the number four hit "Don't Stop Believing." That song kicks off this soundtrack, the first in a series of albums cataloging the music performed by the show's cast. Not all GLEE members ...

Dogma Soundtrack music CDs
$10.49 Three of the first four tracks on this double album, "Summer Nights," "Hopelessly Devoted To You" and "You're The One That I Want" all went on to become big hits in the USA and UK for the new disco sensation John Travolta and his co-star Olivia Newton-John. Frank Valli also took the title song into the upper reaches of charts all over the world. As for this album, it lingered for 12 weeks at number 1 in America, and topped the British chart for a lucky 13. Even in the 90's several of these tracks are still guaranteed floor-fillers at many a party night, and once again it is showing at a theatre near you.
