| | Linq Journey CD Linq Discography of CDs
Linq winds her way through a guitar-driven collection of folk/rock songs that touch upon love and loss, friendship, and political issues. Her fans have compared her to Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Melissa Etheridge, and Sarah McLachlan among others, but in fact her vocals are her own unique sound. Her backup musicians bring her songs to a new level and include June Millington (Fanny, Slammin' Babes), Jean Millington (Fanny, Slammin' Babes), Julie Wolf (Ani DiFranco), Michaelle Goerlitz (Wild Mango), Janelle Burdell (Slammin' Babes), Lee Madeloni (Slammin' Babes),Loren Weisman (Alan Marcus Band), and Ellen Clegg (Found Sounds). From the bare, folky fingerpicking of Wolf and Dove, to the classic rock sound of Ready For Love, to the psychedelic 60's sound of Rock and Roll Woman, she'll take you on a journey that you don't want to miss. And... her razor sharp statements on discrimination (Don't You Understand) and war (War Machine) speak for themselves.LINQ, "... a songwriter whose life is a magnet for the kind of serendipitous events a critic would disbelieve were you to fictionalize them for a novel or movie."A. Forcier, Arts and Entertainment, Greenfield Recorder,12/29/2005JOURNEY "... in just [53] minutes and 14 cuts, manages to artfully articulate opinions on some of the most important and controversial issues facing society today." "Everything about 'Journey' is professional quality. The cover art, photography and graphic design of the lyrics insert make a positive first impression. The technical mastering is top notch. Combined with the magical combination of instruments and voices, 'Journey' will sell and sell big once it receives the exposure it deserves." Mary Barclay, Athol Daily News 9/3/05"JOURNEY is a stellar showcase of a singer-songwriter coming into her own."Craig Semon, Montachusett T&G/Worcester Telegram 8/25/05JOURNEY “Wow, so many great songs on it. Really like ‘Don’t You Understand’, great guitar and vocals on ‘Ready For Love’, getting into ‘Rock and Roll Woman’…†June Caldwell, Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion8/22/05"HER MUSIC is stirring, the words poetic, and the pictures filled with symbolism. The CD is the first step of a long journey, and Linq is on solid ground tapping into her personal tragedy and triumphs to find her art."D. Durling, Winchendon Courier 4/14/05 "STRONG, unfaltering, and on a new journey, singer/songwriter Linq is opening her music up to the national scene and educating those who hear it on political and spiritual issues and issues facing the gay and lesbian community."Diversions / the Recorder 4/7/05 JOURNEY "13 powerful tracks" "With each song, you learn more of Lincoln's own personal journey, her setbacks and disappointments, and her convictions."Paula Owen, Quabbin Valley Voices February 2005JOURNEY "The results are impressive." "The CD pretty much runs the gamut of emotions, and the emotions are all Lincoln's. What's nice is that Linq's voice matches the feeling she is striving to communicate in each song. No one can possibly claim that ‘all these songs sound the same’; each song is refreshingly unique."Greg Vine, Athol Daily News 9/2/04 Linq Journey Songs | 1. | Journey |

Journey
$9.55 Personnel: Tom Araya (vocals); Jeff Hanneman, Kerry King (guitar); Dave Lombardo (drums). Audio Mixer: Greg Fidelman. Editor: Dan Monti. Photographer: Andrew Stewart. Of the "big four" original thrash bands (the other three being Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth), Slayer was the least compromising and most consistent. As such, 2009's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD recalled more than the title of Slayer's 1986 masterpiece REIGN IN BLOOD; it shared the earlier album's ferocious aggression and trademark speed metal-meets-hardcore sound. Throughout, the sound is lean and mean, with bassist/vocalist Tom Araya's vocals mixed relatively dry and upfront, giving the album a bracing, fist-to-the-face force. Jackhammer tracks such as "Hate Worldwide" and "Psychopathy Red" are short, no muss-no fuss blasts of double kick drum, minor key-riffing fury, with an unrelenting ...

Principally recorded at Westlake Audio, Los Angeles, California. Off the Wall was a massive success, spawning four Top Ten hits (two of them number ones), but nothing could have prepared Michael Jackson for Thriller. Nobody could have prepared anybody for the success of Thriller, since the magnitude of its success was simply unimaginable -- an album that sold 40 million copies in its initial chart run, with seven of its nine tracks reaching the Top Ten (for the record, the terrific "Baby Be Mine" and the pretty good ...

| | G F Fitz-Gerald Echoes Of Duneden CD (2007)
Journey
$16.09 Fans of the British improvising saxophonist Lol Coxhill are used to his unfettered, wild and squawky style, rivaled only by Evan Parker and inspired by Eric Dolphy and Steve Lacy. Those of you who appreciate Coxhill's lunatic fringe style will notice on Echoes of Duneden a refined and restrained approach on this CD, as well as the more extroverted musings he pioneered. In three duets totaling only 34 minutes with electric guitarist G.F. Fitz-Gerald, soprano saxophonist Coxhill creates a sonic palate ranging from completely free to actually constrained, melodic, thematic, and even tuneful constructs. Fitz-Gerald is a player whose concept depends on effects rather than musicality or technique, utilizing an array of echo, reverb, and sustained axioms more than chords of notated lines. In some ways it is a disturbing style, but no more so than when Coxhill cuts loose, as on the short intro track "Fairy Dance," where bird-like twitters, trills, and sighs sidle up next to Fitz-Gerald's ricocheted blasts. The title track, clocking in at 14 minutes, is an exercise morphed into two notes, many, or none. The varying tones, timbres, and moods suggest both war and fantasy, especially from Coxhill's expressive soprano and bold scattered excursions into music and noise phrasings. A good deal of chemistry ...
