$7.45 BiographyRaffinae chartered her musical background from a very young age. Born to a mother who was a singer with gospel roots and a father who wrote/produced music. By the age of three Raffinae began to show signs of musical interest and spirit. She would spend endless hours in the mirror impersonating singers. She would also sit next to her father as he wrote songs and would imitate the music and hum along. Her first recording was a rendition of " The Boy is Mine," by Brandy and Monica.Raffinae later at the age of nine began to write and arrange songs. She spent endless hours writing a diary of songs that were well beyond her life experiences. She loved to perform these songs for her family and friends. As a result of these performances, Raffinae and two of her friends decided to start a group. This group later became LMH - " Ladies Making History." Often being called the petite up and coming "Chaka Kahn." The group went on to make a self titled CD that included several songs that were co-written, arranged and produced by Raffinae, members of the group and her father. During her time with the group Raffinae performed at countless events that included the Blues and Bones Festival, WGCI Music Seminar,Opening for Rap Artist E-40, Cisco's Music World, Lincoln Mall,Channel 19 (cable) station,and many talent shows. She was featured in Ebony magazine, The Star newspapers, for her strong delivery in her performance. Raffinae has since grown into a different path and began to charter a solo career, where she wants to not only become an infamous and well-reknown recording artist but to own a major record label, to help other up and coming artist. She has gone on to create her own CD titled "The Spotlight.""The Spotlight," shows off her change in life regarding her maturation, independence and individuality with respect to her writing, musical arrangements and production. This CD showcases and solidifies her strength as a writer and strong vocalist of choice. She has grown tremendously as an artist and is ready to rise to the occasion, come what may.Raffinae prides herself ...
