| FullCircle "Jagged lil pill" revisited is a seriously refreshed journey through past emotions. You can hear the Wisdom & maturity in her voice and THIS IS NOW A WOMAN THAT HAS SETTLED DOWN AND is no longer an angry confused youth but HAS BECOME A TENDER and objective woman. Neil Young On the Beach CD (1974)
Jagged Little Pill Acoustic buy CD music After working his way through loss and chaos on the brilliant TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT (recorded in 1973, but not released until 1975), Neil Young deftly exorcised any lingering demons with 1974's ON THE BEACH. The album opens with the saunter of the aptly titled "Walk On," followed by the utterly gorgeous, Wurlitzer-tinged "See the Sky about to Rain."
The set also features a trio of scathing songs--"Revolution Blues," "Vampire Blues," and "Ambulance Blues"--that address issues important to Young, both social and personal. It is good to hear Young back with such bite and vitriol, especially after the broken desperation of TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT. But while ON THE BEACH is edgy and deeply felt, it also manages to sound liberating and relaxed, with glimmers of hope and humor peeking through the spare, evocative arrangements. Inexplicably unreleased on CD until 2003, ON THE BEACH is both unflinching and resilient, and easily stands as one of Young's finest albums.

Alanis Unplugged CD (1999)
Jagged Little Pill Acoustic CD music Though Morissette is known for songs driven by big, hard-hitting production, her larger-than-life sound translates surprisingly well to a stripped-down, acoustic-based approach. Backed by acoustic guitar, piano, and strings (and a tasteful rhythm section), Alanis scales down the grand scale of her arrangements for a more intimate, directly communicative effect. Listening to the almost gentle version of the formerly piledriving "You Oughta Know" will provide something of a revelation for Morissette's fans. The scathing lyrics achieve an even more cathartic effect with the contrasting feel of the music, and the singer/songwriter is revealed as a folk-rocker at heart.
Her previously noted preference for the confessional mode is further underlined here by an earnest version of the Police's soul-searching plaint "King of Pain." Thankfully, Morissette has enough common sense to avoid changing it to "Queen of Pain." The unfettered swoops and glides of her vocal style have more room to flow here as well, and Morissette sounds a bird in full flight throughout.
Personnel: Alanis Morissette (vocals, guitar, flute, harmonica); Joel Shearer, Nick Lashley (guitar); Joel Derouin, Laura Seaton (violin); David Campbell (viola); Erik Friedlander, Suzie Katayama (cello); Deron Johnson (keyboards, background vocals); Gary Novak (drums, percussion); Brad Dutz (percussion).

So-Called Chaos CD (2004)
Jagged Little Pill Acoustic songs Alanis Morissette crashed into pop music's collective consciousness in the mid-1990s as a woman scorned, carrying loads of resentment along with her alt-pop leanings. Morissette's fourth studio album, SO-CALLED CHAOS, reveals that she has come a long way from the days of "You Oughta Know," thanks, in part, to the healing powers of love. In this case, actor Ryan Reynolds is the object of her affection, and Morissette embarks on an in-depth exploration of the various aspects of romance.
Backed by a band that includes former Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery, the Canadian singer-songwriter casts out a wide range of emotions. She goes from the playful wordplay of "Knees of My Bees," with its loops and sitar-like flourishes, to the more serious concept of forgiveness at the heart of the melancholy "This Grudge." Not surprisingly, introspection drives Morissette's creative engine. With it comes material leaving her in a vulnerable, confessional mode, whether she's acknowledging jealousy while telling her paramour otherwise on "Doth I Protest Too Much" or exploring a fear of weakness on "Spineless." These songs reveal a mature tone missing from her early outings, and mark another fine and eclectic album by the always-intriguing artist.
Personnel: Alanis Morissette (vocals); Joel Shearer (acoustic guitar); John Shanks (electric guitar, keyboards); David Levita, Jason Orme (electric guitar); Zac Rae (piano, keyboards, vibraphone); Jamie Muhoberac (keyboards); Tim Thorney, Paul Bushnell (bass guitar); Kenny Aronoff , Blair Sinta (drums); Scott Gordon (drum programming).
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.

Collection CD (2005) Top Seller
Jagged Little Pill Acoustic album for sale In 2005, Alanis Morissette celebrated the 10th anniversary of her breakthrough album, JAGGED LITTLE PILL, in grand style by both rerecording that disc in an acoustic format, and issuing the decade-spanning COLLECTION. The latter 18-track release presents a number of rarities along with many of the Canadian pop/rock singer/songwriter's hits.
Morissette's Maverick debut is well represented here by a generous handful of successful singles, most notably the fierce "You Oughta Know" and the angsty anthems "Ironic" and "Head Over Feet." Although Morissette's later (and often more adventurous) outings make less of a showing, this set does feature several intriguing non-album cuts, including the spiritually minded and heavily orchestral "Mercy" (from THE PRAYER CYCLE), the Middle Eastern-tinged "Still" (from the soundtrack to Kevin Smith's DOGMA, in which she played the embodiment of God), and a faithful version of Seal's "Crazy." Though the fan-favorite "All I Really Want" is mysteriously absent, THE COLLECTION is a commendable overview of Morissette's '95-'05 output, and its eclectic track list makes the set suitable for both fans and newcomers.
Liner Note Author: Alanis Morissette.

Feast on Scraps CD (2002)
Jagged Little Pill Acoustic buy CD music The FEAST ON SCRAPS DVD included in this package features a live show from Alanis Morissette's European tour, studio footage and various behind-the- scenes clips as well as 8 previously unreleased tracks recorded during the UNDER RUG SWEPT sessions.
Fresh from her "Toward Our Union Mended" 2002 world tour, Alanis Morissette hit the studio to pull together FEAST ON SCRAPS, a double CD/DVD featuring eight unreleased audio tracks from her last studio outing UNDER RUG SWEPT and a full concert from Rotterdam on the DVD. A master of looking inward and emerging with musical manna, Morissette does not disappoint as she dips into feelings of undeserved success (the subtly tumultuous "Fear Of Bliss"), guilt over this dissatisfaction (a gently lilting "Offer"), and a heavy dose of fame-fueled ennui (the Middle Eastern-flavored "Purgatorying"). Other highlights include the harder-edged "Sister Blister," touching break-up ballad "Simple Together," and a gorgeous solo acoustic reading of her hit "Hands Clean." The accompanying DVD further enhances this already stellar package with the aforementioned live show packed with Morissette favorites "Ironic," "You Oughta Know," and "Hand In My Pocket" along with behind-the-scenes footage from the UNDER RUG SWEPT sessions, rare home videos, and live footage from other cities on the 2002 tour. FEAST ON SCRAPS is far from skimpy, and on the contrary, turns out to be a fine audio/visual meal.
