Story Of The Blues album
$8.15 NATURALLY has stood up over the years as a perfect debut. When released in 1971, it introduced J.J. Cale's rootsy, laid back grooves to excellent effect, and in the decades since, this album and its follow-up, REALLY, have remained classics of mellow '70s country-rock. Riding on the success and easy blues feel of Eric Clapton's cover of Cale's "After Midnight," ...

Story Of The Blues music CDs
$8.49 Ultradiscs are mastered from the original master tapes using Mobile Fidelity's proprietary mastering technique, then plated with 24-karat gold and housed in a stress-resistant lift-lock jewel box.
"You Can't Lose What You Ain't Never Had" and "The Same Thing" did not appear on the original version of FOLK SINGER. They were recorded at a separate session in April 1964, three months after FOLK SINGER was released.
The title and cover photo of this 1963 recording were an attempt to cash in on the burgeoning American folk revival, but this is pure acoustic blues. Muddy ...

| | Ian Moore Via Satellite CD (2001)
Story Of The Blues music CDs
$18.99 This disc by the former Joe Ely guitar player Ian Moore bears little resemblance (other than the high octane quality) to the music he made with Ely, and owes much more to the Beatles and the psychedelic movement. You are still able to discern his underlying feel of the blues. This is a long leap, but it is a very positive broad step out. Moore either wrote or co-wrote ten of the 11 songs on the disc, and there are no weak ones; nor do they fall into any repetitiveness or follow any formula. The one song he didn't write is the beautiful Sam Cooke gospel tune "Wash Away My Troubles." His version is an absolutely gorgeous rendition that shows off the strength and dynamics of his voice and is one the highlights of the album. His are all strong songs about living, loving, and dying that have their own individuality; Moore evidently learned from Ely that storytellers in songs make them more ...

| | Cummings, Bill & Patti Tradtional Blend Bill & Patti Cummings CD (2007)
Story Of The Blues songs
$20.29 Bill and Patti Cummings, "Traditional Blend", have performed throughout Arizona and other areas of the US, in many types of venues and settings, since 1982. They appear in festivals as their schedule permits. They have a very large repertoire of traditional music which includes Celtic tunes of Ireland, Scotland, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), Old Time Mountain Music of the Round Peak Style from North Carolina, and Cajun Creole string band music of the southwestern prairies of Louisiana. Although not all of the following styles are recorded on their first CD, their repertoire also includes a few old favorites and familiar tunes such as Texas rags and some bluegrass fiddle and guitar standards. Finally, song ballads from America, England, Ireland, and Scotland, and melodies of the civil war and of Hispanic descent accent and enhance this interesting musical combo’s wide range of performances.Predominantly, they are a quality fiddle and guitar duo driving a strong and steady rhythmic beat. Occasionally, the duo is transformed into a family trio when their daughter, Crystal, joins them in the studio, but generally the husband and wife team play festivals and dances in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Oregon. They also have been asked to play in Florida, Nebraska, New Mexico, Missouri, and Texas. Festival and dance performances include reels, jigs, slip jigs, polkas, slides, mazurkas, hornpipes, ...
