| | Jason Mraz Mr. A-Z CD Jason Mraz Discography of CDs
This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other.
On Jason Mraz's second studio album, the young Virginia-born singer/songwriter continues the loose, freewheeling pop/rock vibe established on his 2002 debut, WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME. He's still the slightly mischievous boy-next-door, but here Mraz has a new sense of self-confidence, undoubtedly based on the success of his first album. Though it's usually left to hip-hop artists to boast about their lyrical prowess, Mraz does exactly that on the rap-inspired "Wordplay," an alternately soaring and frenetic track that focuses on his tongue-in-cheek turns of phrase. Later in the record, Mraz offers up a mellow, Santana-like tune, "Bella Luna" (which shines the spotlight on his high, clear vocal delivery), and the surprisingly caustic piano ballad "Please Don't Tell Her." Overall, however, Mraz sounds most comfortable in the John Mayer light-rock vein, as evinced by the buoyant opening number, "Life Is Wonderful," and the anthemic "Did You Get My Message?"
This release was produced by the legendary Steve Lillywhite at Allaire Studios near Woodstock, NY. This release is Mraz's most inspired and thoughtful record to date. The dualdisc includes the entire album, 20 minute DVD documentary, photo gallery, full lyrics, and 36-page personal journal with exclusive polaroids.

Mr. A-Z songs
$8.99 After working his way through loss and chaos on the brilliant TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT (recorded in 1973, but not released until 1975), Neil Young deftly exorcised any lingering demons with 1974's ON THE BEACH. The album opens with the saunter of the aptly titled "Walk On," followed by the utterly gorgeous, Wurlitzer-tinged "See the Sky about to Rain."
The set also features a trio of scathing ...
| | Neil Young Prairie Wind - Special Edition CD (2005) CD & DVD
Mr. A-Z album
$17.85 The most striking characteristic of the album is its mood, which is heavily nostalgic, melancholy, and, lyrically, full of reflections on memory, loss, and mortality. (The passing of Young's father and his own experience with a brain aneurysm seem likely influences for the tone here). In this way, it comes close to the emotional intensity ...

Mr. A-Z album
$26.09 KARMA TO BURN is the first live album by Celtic rockers the Waterboys. Taken from live performances recorded on tour in 2004 and '04, KARMA TO BURN is a definitive document of the band, capturing their energetic musicianship and excellent songcraft.
In 2001, Mike Scott decided to return to recording and performing under the Waterboys moniker. He released his first new-era Waterboys studio record, A Rock in the Weary Land, a good seven years after 1993's Dream Harder -- with some small contributions of some the more permanent Waterboys of the '80s and '90s. In between those records, Scott had recorded and performed solo in two different incarnations: one as an acoustic singer/songwriter (Bring 'Em All In), and one as a bandleader (Still Burning). And on 2005's Karma to Burn, the first ever official Waterboys live record, it's these two sides that he wants to capture. Where 1998's bootleg Live Adventures revealed a Mike Scott fronting a full band back in 1986, wanting to grasp the stars in the sky, Karma to Burn is, partially, a much more quiet affair. Culled from tours Mike and company made in 2003 and 2004, half the songs have a piano (Richard Naiff), acoustic guitar, and fiddle (Steve Wickham) setup, while on the other half the three core members are backed by then touring drummer Carlos Hercules and bass player Steve Walters. As a result, the record is a two-faced one: there's the rock band playing old and new Waterboys songs, and there's the acoustic trio playing material from Dream Harder, Universal Hall, and Scott's solo work. There are also two covers. Unfortunately, ...
