Fall Kimble CD (1993)
Xli-60 2 Pack CD music Taken from a The Infotainment Scan-era John Peel session, "Kimble," a cover of a Lee "Scratch" Perry tune, ambles along in a dub style, seemingly ready to fall apart at any minute. It's also one of the Fall's funniest: "You try/step on my toes" Smith says, to which a backing track replies "Ow!" The other three tracks are also from various Peel sessions, including two storming songs from 1985: "Gut of the Quantifier" (sharp, crisp, threatening) and "Spoilt Victorian Child" (loose and muddled at first, but finally snapping into focus halfway through).
