| Almost perfect
To do Douglas Adams books justice in the movie format is obviously futile. Intricate plots, endless ramblings and linguistic acrobatics just can't be moved to the silver screen without compromises.

| Monty Python meets The Dark Crystal
What a trip! I've never read any of Douglas Adams's books, but now I wish I had. The unusual alien characters and the wacky story of this sci-fi comedy makes HGTTG an original masterpiece! I LOVED IT!! I especially liked the entertaining sci-fi action.

This movie was great! Even though I always pictured his heads side by side, the character of Zaphod was right on, from lines to costume to mannerisms.

| What Were They Thinking?!
I agree that this movie was, um, I'll try to be nice, not good. I was sooo anxious for it to come out on DVD (since I missed it in theaters) that I rushed to the video store to rent it, got home and popped it in my dvd player with great anticipation.
