A Nazi soldier is buried alive in a bunker and escapes after years of captivity. Is it truth? Is it sensationalism? This West German lost film noir has all the elements of a classic thriller. This atmospheric film noir was lost for decades, and evokes the long-lost era of post-WWII West Germany. Martin Held stars as Cesar Boyd, a famous news reporter who gets the scoop of a lifetime. A Nazi who was buried for years in his bunker finally escapes, but has gone blind, and Boyd happens to discover him. Boyd's devoted assistant Greg Bachmann (Horzt Buchholz) is a former con who admires his boss greatly, until he discovers the truth: Boyd concocted the entire story. Now it is up to Greg to expose the truth, which will also help him to win the heart of the lovely Bettina (Maria Perschy).
