Great Move! The Best Of The Move Songs Great Move! The Best Of The Move Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) Jeff Lynne is cool!!! Wow! Pre ELO. I wonder why Roy Wood didn't make the ELO line-up? I enjoy this disc as much as I enjoyed the overrated Shazzam. These three guys had as big a sound as the million peice ELO, but without all the strings. A special treat is the tune "California Man" that Cheap Trick made popular in the states. It's easy to see why Jeff Lyne had fans like George Harrison. Great tunes, great music. Submitted by budnell (pineville, louisiana) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful.
FANTASTIC This offering from the Move is a unknown gem, the variation of musical gnere is staggering and it shows... the band is having fun and the album feels uncluttered and free of any constraints...simply put...enjoy. A Remastered Classic Message From The Country was the last Move album. Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Beven were about to do away with The Move and usher in The Electric Light Orchestra. This cd is beautifully remastered and features great songwriting and playing. Wood/Lynne, both multi-instrument virtuoso's play and sing up a storm with Bev's drumming up to par as well. Great harmonies, funny humor and memorable songs, with topnotch singles like Do ya, California Man, Chinatown, and Down On The Bay as bonus tracks, make this one essential.
