$12.09 The very first moments of Rodrigo y Gabriela's sophomore effort, 11:11, hit the listener cold in the face, and not just because of the amazing guitar playing. Sure, it's there, but it's what anyone who heard the duo's astonishing debut would expect. No, it's the sound ...

$16.45 Minister Nathaniel M. CarswellBORN...Fort Pierce FloridaAugust 18, 1952As a child,Minister Carswell learned to use his God given gift of singing by imitating the songs he heard. God taught him how to control his voice even before he could understand the meaning of "the goodness of God".His first encounter with public singing was when he entered a talent show in the 12th grade.Minister Carswell joined the Airforce in 1971. Later, in the early part of his military career the group he sang with in the talent show wanted him to come home and sing with them. But he refused to leave the military.Minister Carswell noted when thinking back over the years "how amazing God really is, how he blocked the gift he has given Minister Carswell from being drawn into the world."Born again at the age of nine at a Holiness Church on 13 street in Fort Pierce, Minister Carswell went to church with his mom at St. John, that is where he knew what the call of God was for his life.He loved watching Preachers, so He prayed and asked if he could be one. His favorite Minister (other than his local minister) is Oral Roberts. He really loved watching the healing power of God working through him. "God is awesome", says Minister Carswell when speaking of the work God does through His willing vessels like Minister Oral Roberts. When Minister Nathaniel M. Carswell was stationed at Robins AFB in Georgia, he began to realize his God-given gift for singing. While on tour with "Robins Gospel Experience Choir" he met two Angels that blessed him by encouraging him to keep singing at a time when his God-given talent wasn't being fully utilized while in the choir. According to the call God placed upon his life his full potential had not yet been realized by him or those in the singing group.Later, while on TDY to Bitburg, Germany, he won 1st and 2nd in a talent show and received an offer to sing with the group "Tops and Blue". Because they did not sing Gospel he again refused to sing with this group also.Later during the tour, God sent a Prophet to Minister Carswell with a message, and he hid that message in his heart. In the year 2003 part of the prophecy he hid in his heart manifested in the form of his first CD "THE MESSAGE" given to him by the Holy Spirit. He had never written a song before, but his music was conceived while sitting in the presence of the Holy Spirit and Worshiping Him. During these times in His Presence the Holy Spirit gives Minister Carswell through His gifts to him what he need and what He has for the people.God bless ...

Untitled music CDs
$18.99 Diane Landry brings the sound of southern swing full-tilt on this, her long-overdue debut release. "It's a Lovely Day" is a hard-driving, greasy session which shatters any expectations of another delicate chanteuse lazily wandering through the American Songbook. By contrast, Landry's soulful voice smacks of a tradition inspired by the rich culture of the Gulf Coast, but also has a maturity in phrasing associated with the great voices of our day. Combined with pianist/arranger Matt Lemmler's reharmonizations and world-class playing, the session treats the listener to the exciting sound of 21st century New Orleans jazz. You will marvel at how they stylishly revitalize worn chestnuts like "Good Morning Heartache" and "Blue Moon". Recorded in the Crescent City with mostly local players including the great John Ellis on saxophone, "It's a Lovely Day" is bound to get national attention both for its unique point of view and the exceptional musicianship displayed throughout.Andrew Lienhard, JazzHouston.comDiane Landry's vocals are smoky and bluesy. Call Me is one of the steamiest proposals I've ever heard, and talk about ...
