Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Parental Advisory Though sometimes verging on cruel, the comic Lisa Campanelli knows how to make people laugh. In the Comedy Central special TAKE IT LIKE A MAN, she takes her insult-filled style to new heights, holding nothing back and considering no topic too taboo. Filmed during a live performance at The Improv. in Hollywood, Florida, TAKE IT LIKE A MAN shines the spotlight on Lisa as she takes vicious stabs at everything from politics and family to race. Just a few of the chapters include "White Devils and Hispanic Women," "The Train to Brown Town," and "Stereotypes." Lisa Lampanelli - Take It Like A Man Movie Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) Awesome Lisa L. really goes there. She manages to offend all and never misses a beat. She is one of the funniest comedians I have seen in years! Submitted by gregh (St. Petersburg, FL USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
The Queen of Mean...a matriarch of truths! I first came across Lisa Lampanelli via her late-late appearance on Comedy Central TV! I must admit that as an African-American woman, I had immediate shock value for the first five minutes of her act, but soon after that….Miss Lisa had a sista rollin’, tears were falling from eyes, and the best part about it…she made you think!
She is incredibly smart, gifted and has something to say!
As a professor of sociology, I would recommend this for intellectual discourse, for family and friends…this is something EVERYONE will be talking about long after the DVD ends…and she will make you craving and wanting more!
I can’t wait to see her act live!
This DVD is a must have for anyone with an open mind and a desire to laugh, cry, and think!

Gut buster I saw this on Comedy Central. It is very vulgar with a ton of racial jokes. I laughed so hard I cried. It was one of the best stand up routines I think I have ever seen. This is a must have in your collection. If you have never seen it, get it. Its worth every penny. Submitted by John (San Jose, California, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Lisa Lampanelli - Take It Like A Man film
$11.35 Comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham hits the stage with hilarious new pals Achmed the Dead Terrorist and Melvin the Super hero, as well as old favorites Peanut, Walter, and Jose Jalapeno, in this sidesplitting performance at Washington D.C.'s Warner Theater.
More than just a stand-up comic, Jeff Dunham is a one-man comedy troupe--a ring-leader in a circus of snark. The veteran ventriloquist may be the only one with vocal chords, but he’s often the least vocal, playing straight man to a steam trunk of personalities: Achmed the Dead Terrorist, a goofball skeleton still fighting the infidels; Peanut, an odd purple creature with a fast mouth; Jose Jalapeño, a smooth-talking pepper on a stick; Bubba J, NASCAR’s biggest fan; and Walter, a dirty old man who speaks his mind. Together with his hilarious and irreverent puppets, Dunham riffs on everything from politics to family life, and slays the audience with his quick-witted banter. SPARK OF INSANITY features one of Dunham’s funniest performances, recorded live at Washington D.C.’s ...

Lisa Lampanelli - Take It Like A Man review
$14.99 The American jazz-vocal group Suede (not to be confused with the Britpop band of the same name) are captured live in this concert performance recorded at Boston's Scullers jazz club on May 12, 2004.
Imagine a cross between Ella Fitzgerald and Bette Midler, throw in a little Rosie Clooney, add a dash of Louis Armstrong, and you might get some idea of Suede's unique mix of musical abilities and talents. Think sophisticated pop/jazz, think naughty blues with a sizzling trumpet, think love songs that will make you swoon, think funny, think Wow, what a voice! This consummate entertainer sings original material and pop, blues and jazz standards like nobody you've ever heard, while accompanying herself on the piano, trumpet and guitar. She also plays with her fabulous band: NY veteran jazz players David Pearl on piano, Max Murray or Sue Williams on bass and Steve Holloway on drums. Suede has toured extensively in the US, Europe and as far away as New Zealand and Australia always to full houses and rave reviews. The "Diva la Difference" has appeared on ABC's 20/20, WAMU Radio, NPR, MTV, and in the film "A Simple Matter of Justice". Her recording of "Remember Who You Are" was recently featured on the soap opera, The Young and the Restless and is featured on the newly released HRC compilation disc, Being Out Rocks with other such notable artists as Sarah McLachlan, Rufus Wainright, k.d.Lang, Harvey Fierstein, Janis Ian, Cyndi Lauper, The B52's and others. Her latest release, On the Day We Met, won two OUTMusic awards in 2001, one for best new release by a female artist and one for best new song (Emily Remembers). She also holds the distinction of being the first and only female member of the world renowned a cappella group The Flirtations, seen in Jonathan Demme's film Philadelphia. With a strong belief in the responsibility that comes with any degree of celebrity status, she has helped raised tens of thousands of dollars for various causes she supports, including Breast Cancer awareness and research, AIDS funding, Alzheimer's Care and research, Animal rights and many others. And, she is FUN! From unbelievable a cappella to "bring down the house" belting blues, Suede delivers it all with her own unique blend of warmth, ...
