Curb's Best of Gerry and the Pacemakers is a budget-priced seven-track collection, containing re-recordings of the British Invasion band's most popular hits, including "You'll Never Walk Alone," "How Do You Do It," "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying," and "Ferry Cross the Mersey." Please keep in mind that this disc is only 15 minutes long and unbelievably shoddy, especially when compared to similar sets that contain the original hits, specifically, Gerry Cross the Mersey: All the Hits of Gerry and the Pacemakers on Razor & Tie. ~ Al Campbell Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers Music Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers Songs Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers Music Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers Music Review Buy Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers CD Purchase Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Peter & Gordon Greatest Hits CD (1966)

| | Glee Cast Glee: The Music, Vol. 2 CD (2009) Original Soundtrack
Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers album
$9.58 The second Glee soundtrack throws a bone to the show's supporting characters, with Jenna Ushkowitz (the faux-stuttering Tina) singing her first solo and Amber Riley (Mercedes) receiving a larger chunk of airtime. Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison continue to steal the show, though; Morrison delivers one of the album's most inventive songs with a mash-up of "Don't Stand So Close to Me" and "Young Girl," while Michele sings the absolute pants off of everything the producers give her. The album sometimes strays away from choral arrangements and focuses on individual actors, but it's hard not to sing along ...

| | Incredible String Band No Ruinous Feud CD (1973) (Import) United Kingdom
Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers music CDs
$9.05 On this album, the Incredible String Band added another member, becoming a full quartet. Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Malcolm LeMaistre joined prior to the recording of EARTHSPAN. On this collection, Gerard Dott appears on about half the selections playing soprano saxophone, clarinet, organ and vibraphone. NO RUINOUS FEUD was a move away from the band's more mystical inclinations ...

| | Neil Diamond 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection: The Best Of Neil CD (1999)
Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers album
$6.75 Recorded between 1968 and 1973. Includes liner notes by Joseph Laredo.
This is part of MCA's 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection series.
Like any record company worth their salt, MCA knows a good gimmick when they see it, and when the millennium came around, well, the 20th Century Masters -- The Millennium Collection wasn't too far behind. Supposedly, the millennium is a momentous occasion, but it's hard to feel that way when it's used as another excuse to turn out a budget-line series. But apart from the presumptuous title, 20th Century Masters -- The Millennium Collection turns out to be a very good budget-line series. True, it's impossible for any of these brief collections to be definitive, but they're nevertheless solid samplers that don't feature a bad song in the bunch. For example, take Neil Diamond's 20th Century volume -- it's an irresistible summary of his MCA years, ...
| | September Song: The Songs Of Jimmy Durante CD (1963)
Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers CD music
$11.25 After decades of novelty and comedy recordings, film roles and television work, Jimmy Durante was invited into the studio to record a "serious" album of standards and originals. Durante himself was uncertain about the project, but the resulting album was in every way a success. It was Durante's only album to enter the Top 40, and the title track made Billboard's Top Pop 100. Mixing Durante's utterly unique voice with lush strings and a vocal chorus, September Song is a left-field masterpiece ...
| | Dion & Friends Live New York City CDs (2005)
Best Of Gerry & The Pacemakers music CDs
$12.15 In 1987, Dion was asked to headline a concert celebrating the 15th Anniversary of WCBS -FM in New York. Dion had been making gospel records in the 1980s, and the opportunity to perform with old friends and family was too great to resist and he agreed. This double-disc set is the complete concert from that evening. At over 35 songs, Dion is in fine voice. The story is on the tape, and in the magic ...
