This Island Remixes CD

After the success of their previous remix album and This Island, it only made sense for Le Tigre to amass another collection of remixes. Focused predominantly on "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo" and "After Dark," this collection has moments on par with both of the aforementioned releases. Junior Senior's Metro Area-esque take on "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo" and Arthur Baker's take on the same track are both outstanding, canceling out some of the weaker moments, and A Touch of Class brilliantly end the session with their high-energy take on "After Dark." While there are moments where Le Tigre's original productions far and away surpass these remixes, it's a sensible collection that fans will enjoy and find places for on their CD shelves. ~ Rob Theakston

For the Funk-a-teers, try the JUNIOR SENIOR Remix and MOREL's Pink Noise Dub Mix or maybe ARTHUR BAKER's Smashter Remix or CARL CRAIG's Turn It Up Vocal Remix is more your flavour. Either way this is definite crowd pleaser!
