It's one of the scariest movies I have seen in a while along with the movie "Saw" This movie is so dark and gritty that you have to watch with the lights on and with someone else. I thought everyone gave good performances in this movie. Especially Ryan Reynolds. He's one of my favorite actors of all time. I thought he played his role very well and was very believable. (0) (3) Helpful? terrible movie Amityville Horror film first thing i should point out is the fact that the actors they used in this film do not look like a real family the mother looks way too young to have 3 children and the step father is also far too young for this sort of role and has more muscles than the incredible hulk.... Amityville Horror review how does your average family man struggling to make money to buy a new house find the time to look like a body builder... so stupid.... the ghost scenes are far too revealing and it just isn't scary because its thrown at the audience too easily... .... what you don't see is always scarier than what you do see.... or at least be subtle about it!! ... this feels like another cheap way to exploit naive teenagers and make some easy money because hollywood has no original ideas left... ... .... take a stand against bad, greedy film makers... dont buy this dvd!!!
