Rather than following up its runaway-hit debut, SONGS ABOUT JANE, and the subsequent acoustic EP with another studio album, Maroon 5 opted to release the 2005 live CD/DVD set Friday THE 13TH. Here the soul-tinged pop/rock act runs through every tune from JANE, including audience-interactive versions of "This Love" and the breezy "She Will Be Loved," and a rendition of "Secret" that works in the Bill Withers classic "Ain't No Sunshine." As always, frontman Adam Levine's plaintive, Stevie Wonder-like vocals carry the songs, with the rest of the band providing tight backing. During the show, the Los Angeles-based group also offers up a new original track, the gently funky "Wasted Years," and an unlikely (and surprisingly faithful) cover of Oasis's "Hello," which proves to be the concert's most rocked-out moment. Although this release is truly for Maroon 5 diehards, anyone who appreciates the quintet's amiable pop will be entertained by Friday THE 13TH as well.

oh my god!!this show was amazing, i got a chance to go to this,,it just wasnt the same on dvd but it was still pretty decent, it was the most amazing show i have ever saw live!!it just left me speechless..p.s., you guys should come to pei soon, it would be sold out in a second;)

If you like Songs about Jane. Youll love the way it sounds live. Sweetest Goodbye is incredible. I dont often like live but this is great.

Depending on whose report you believe, the Police recongregated in 1985 to either begin work on their sixth studio album or a greatest-hits collection that was to include all new, reworked versions of the hits. Neither ever materialized due to hostility between the members, and when all the trio could show for its work was an insipid remake of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," the Police decided to call it a day. So instead of following the original plan, A&M issued Their Greatest Hits, which included 12 original versions of their hits plus the new track, titled "Don't Stand So Close to Me '86," which prevents the collection from being definitive.
