great listening
The sound is unique. So many of the artists today will blend in with the one of tomorrow, but Devendra Banhart will stand out. I love 'Cripple Crow'. I can put it on repeat and listen to it all day. I find myself laughing at some songs, dancing to others, and thinking seriously of the lyrics of another. You can hear influences of many types of music yet he arranges them in a fresh new way. DO NOT BURN THE CD OR TAPE IT. Buy the cd and support Devendra Banhart.

Keeps on giving
Just when I thought his previous albums had given reason enough for my soul to celebrate, this gem comes along. It's just as whimsical as the others, but his tribe of Hairy Fairies give the album a fuller, more wholesome quality than ever before. Thank goodness there's a new hippie in town!
