Carla Ann Harris has been performing in the New York area for over a decade in club appearances, off-off broadway plays, fundraisers and in the last 10 years as a memeber and soloist in the popular St. Charles Gospelite choir in Harlem. She was inspired to record her first CD, Carla's First Christmas, after a standing room only performance in August 1999 in the music series, "Notorious Nights" sponsored by Bad Boy Sean "Puffy" Combs' Notorious Magazine. An accomplished investment banker, Ms. Harris is also an active member of her community serving on several non-profit boards and a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Business School. Following her successful debut album, Carla's First Christmas, this sophomore project from Carla Ann Harris is a soul stirring, redemptive, hallelujah, "feel good" gospel album which is sure to leave you with the message that "Joy is Waiting" on the other side of any challenge that you are facing. The CD presents some old time gospel favorites such as "Because He Lives", "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Precious Lord" in a fresh new way, fusing gospel with contemporary hip hop rhythms and a Broadway flair. Original records of "Standing on Holy Ground", "Midnight Blessings", "Cast Your Cares", and "Joy is Waiting" are a special treat!

Tracy Thornton has been making his living as a professional steelpannist since 1995. He was the founder, leader and arranger for critically acclaimed “Been Caught Steelin’” and the nationally renowned “Sons Of Steel” which had been anointed “The Nation’s Most Exciting Steel Drum Band” back during their four year run. Each group produced 2 CD releases that Tracy produced himself and co-produced “Sons Of Steel’s” Carpe Diem title with world-renowned pannist Andy Narell. Other groups that Tracy has arranged and produced are “The Bahama Mamas”, “The Pink Flamingos” and “Steel Praisin’”.In addition, Tracy has released 6 solo projects of his own. His fresh and exciting take on steelband arrangements are rapidly becoming performance favorites of steelbands throughout the country.Since 1995, Tracy almost annually makes time to travel to the birthplace of “Pan”, Trinidad & Tobago to partake and perform in Panorama (the world’s largest steelband competition) during the Island’s Carnival season where he performs with bands that consist of 120 players.
