Cream's final concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London.Considered the greatest band ever by rock fans, the band consists of Eric Clapton, guitar & lead singer; bass guitar, Jack Bruce; and Ginger Baker on drums. This DVD includes rare off-stage interviews with the band members. On November 26, 1968, London's illustrious Royal Albert Hall was jammed to its gilded rafters with rock fans ready for the final concert of what many still consider the greatest band that ever played. That band, Cream, featured the legendary Eric Clapton (aka "Slowhand") on lead guitar, the great drummer Ginger Baker (also of the classic rock band Blind Faith), and lead singer-bassist Jack Bruce in a trio that made some of the most amazing rock songs of the Sixties. Cream - Farewell Concert Movie Review Average Rating: (3.3 out of 5 stars) A classic show but not the best video Considering the era of the filming, this was probably a fair video....but I thought the pyschedelics and jumping from artist to artist was a bit of a distraction. I am glad to have it as a Cream fan for historical purposes but I must confess that I enjoyed their studio work better than their live work. And I also enjoyed very much the recently released reunion dvds from Royal Albert Hall. Submitted by jonfwatts (Marysville, WA USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
cream... then and now this is a good film; it shows cream being a bit dis-jointed and ready to break up, the music greatness is there, though. the 2005 concerts were so much better, the guys really were tight, maybe really for the first time. bought reunion first then had to get the farewell show. they are better than ever and one of the top rock bands of all time. not bad at all you guys must have gotten a different dvd then me or something because it only cuts out of one song and thats only for about 15 seconds!! i think its agreat video. sometimes the camera angles are cruddy but its pretty swell for 1968 Submitted by barry (jonestown) Was This Review Helpful? Here is the truth about this hatchet job There is only one complete uninterupted song! All the rest are partial songs with over dubbed dialog.
Sure, the interviews are great but that's it, thats all you get. Submitted by Ebob4 (Grapeview WA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
No Actual Concert They just show clips of the concert, not the whole thing. But, the interview with Ginger Baker was done really well. Submitted by rnight6119 (Sterling, VA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

Cream - Farewell Concert review
$18.19 Cream's set of reunion shows in May 2005 was a justly hot ticket. The legendary rock trio of Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton--two jazz musicians and a blues guitarist--was one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, even though they played together for less than three years. They brought their psychedelic fusion of blues and pop into the mainstream with albums like FRESH CREAM and WHEELS OF FIRE; Clapton, long regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, did some of his best work on those albums. London's Royal Albert Hall, the site of what was supposed to be Cream's final performance back in 1968, was also the venue for their reunion show. Sounding as if they'd been on vacation for a few weeks instead of disbanded for well over three decades, Cream brought the house down with ...

$10.55 Nine o'clock on Monday morning, August 18, 1969: while the work force was starting the day, Jimi Hendrix was taking the stage at Woodstock. While hundreds of thousands had already left, 25,000 people remained to see this incredible performance. Hendrix, along with drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Billy Cox, offered masterly renditions of the songs of the recently disbanded Experience ("Hey Joe," "Foxey Lady"), and gave a preview of the blues-based Band of Gypsys ("Izabella," "Hear My Train A Comin'"), as well as Jimi's era-defining rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner." Though the weekend had ...
