(4 Customer Reviews)
Emotional band Coheed and Cambria's e-mail address uses the term "soft core," and that's not really accurate. The term molten core works better, as debut The Second Stage Turbine Blade lacks fluff and accentuates the same positives that made emo pioneers Fugazi great, not the least of which is a willingness to experiment. In this New York crew's case, this deviation comes from adding a prog rock feel to the proceedings, a facet highlighted by vocalist Claudio Sanchez's impossibly high vocal range at least as much as the technical riffing and fearless approach to soloing and other expressive playing techniques, hardcore politics be damned. Like most progressive fare, the C and C music factory occasionally sins in the name of its art, often doing in five minutes what could have been accomplished in three, but the mere fact that the group takes pride in knowing more than three chords is impressive. ~ Brian O'Neill

Second Stage Turbine Blade Music Coheed & Cambria Second Stage Turbine Blade Songs Second Stage Turbine Blade Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Still not matured enough Compared to the later releases from C&C, this their first album lacks mature songwriting and layered vocals. Still, it has its highlight. Ok, but not stellar. Submitted by skogspekka (Linköping, Sweden) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
best of their cd's i've loved this band for a long time and have all their albums and most of their dvds and this is the BEST out of EVERYTHING! all the songs sound different and they're all great. BUY IT! Submitted by kilgannon (the fence) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Coheed's best album. As an avid coheed fan, having the entire discography, this would have to be my favorite CD by them. Time consumer, Delirium Trigger, everything evil and Neverender are four of coheed's greatest songs. 33 and Devil in Jersy City are catchy and pleasing. Junsong, hearshot and Godsend are different in terms of mainstream-ness, but thats what makes this album amazing. Second Stage Turbine Blade (Song) gives me the chills everytime i listen to it. Bonus matererial on the cd are worth the little extra cost. If anything, Buy this cd, then In keeping secrets, then Good Apollo last (but make sure you have them all, they're worth it). the progression of the coheed sound is amazing, and this is the album that started it all. | | Billy Joel Greatest Hits Vol. 3 CD (1997)
Second Stage Turbine Blade music CDs
$6.39 In his own inimitable fashion, Billy Joel has crafted some of the catchiest pop hits of the '80s and '90s, and most of them--17, to be exact--are on this disc. The jaunty, nostalgic "Keeping the Faith" opens things up, and we cruise right down memory lane with Billy: through the pop-soul of "A Matter of Trust," the brash, rocking "I Go to Extremes" and "All About Soul" (remixed here to good effect). Joel has grown over the course of his long career, and you can trace his maturity as an artist through these later songs. The
