This DVD is a document of a real rock 'n roll band almost from star to end, captured while video was still a very formative technology and medium. This collection of honest down-to-earth performances pieces shows a band itching to turn it up, drag a crowd in and thell the director to "do one". The classics performed live are taken from the "Live & Dangerous" set (recorded around the world on the "Johnny the Fox" and "Bad Reputation" Tours, probably at the now defunct Rainbow Theatre in downtown London. The career of Thin Lizzy produced a few bona fide classics, including "Whiskey in the Jar" and "The Boys Are Back In Town." This compilation of music videos may have dated somewhat--most of them are culled from a time when the format was just starting to establish itself--but the chance to see Phil Lynott and the boys in action will be hard to resist for hardcore Lizzy disciples. Thin Lizzy - Greatest Hits Thin Lizzy - Greatest Hits Movie Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) amazing footage killer footage from european tv that should have been released long ago, its great to see thin lizzy doing whiskey in the jar in 1973 with eric bell all the way up to 1983 with john sykes. we need more releases like this of vintage footage of classic bands like uriah heep, nazareth, rainbow, ufo, saxon, wishbone ash and status quo........... the glory days of hard rock. EXCELLENT!!!!! I was very excited when my DVD arrived and it didn't let me down. I watched it over and over. Thin Lizzy fans will be pleased. I was a little disappointed in the abbreviated versions of The Boys are Back in Town and Whiskey in a Jar. But the new tracks I hadn't heard, King's Song and Dear Miss Lonely Heart, made up for it. I thought the track selection was good. Even though bonafide hits Jailbreak and Cowboy Song were excluded. I look forward to future releases that probably will include them. Hopefully also considered for the future will be, Got to Give it Up, Mexican Girl, Leave This Town, Fats, Cold Sweat and Southbound. Submitted by J.D. (Newport, TN USA) Was This Review Helpful? TL Vids This is a great collection of videos, unfortunately, some of the original video footage that would have been used to compile this DVD appears to have some degradation, so the video quality may not be up to the standard most are used to with DVD's. The product is solid and the pricing is fair, and the collection is "must have" for any diehard Lizzy fan. Submitted by Shawn (NW, Indiana, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Thin Lizzy - Greatest Hits film
$9.69 Comedy Central's cult-favorite COPS-spoof series, RENO 911! comes to the big screen with RENO 911!: MIAMI. The film follows members of the Reno P.D. as they desert the bright flashing lights of the biggest little city in the world for sand and surf and an invitation to the annual police officers' convention. It will come as no surprise to regular RENO-watchers that the incompetent police force--led by the earnest, hot-pants-wearing Lt. Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon)--hit an administrative snag, and aren't allowed into the convention. But the crew decides to make the most of their multi-hour bus trip to Florida, until an emergency call to duty cuts their impromptu vacation short: they are expected to keep the peace in Miami while the rest of the nation's police forces are quarantined due to a biochemical warfare attack on the convention center. Finding themselves way out of their league in a high-tech police station and Mustang patrol cars, the Reno cops ineptly stumble through Miami, leaving destruction and hilarity in their wake.
Although the RENO 911! police-farce schtick is often compared to the screwball comedy of the POLICE ...
