Three years after its controversial hit debut, the Russian pop duo T.A.T.U. (AKA Lena Katina and Julia Volkova) released a follow-up, DANGEROUS AND MOVING. Like its predecessor, this 2005 disc is full of electronics-laced, angst-ridden pop/rock that features an undercurrent of Sapphic romance. While the charismatic, emotive vocals of Katina and Volkova carry the record, it also benefits from returning producer Trevor Horn, who lends his trademark gloss to the uber-catchy "Craving (I Only Want What I Can't Have)." Undeniably entertaining, DANGEROUS AND MOVING is a guilty pleasure of the highest order.

T.A.T.u Well, I'm Satisfied with this album, but I think the first album is better. So, if you like T.A.T.u, then get up and buy it; its still a good album. Submitted by poet80 (Land of The Dead, AZ. USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Suprisingly great The lyrics are as powerful and well-written as they were on the first album, only this time you can hear that their voices have grown and matured.
It contains both less-heavy lyrics such as "Loves Me Not" and heavy lyrics; "Dangerous And Moving", "Obizienka Nol" & "Perfect Enemy".
The only songs that could have been out are "We shout" and well-produced "Cravings" (though i love those two!!!).
If you like pop, you like t.A.T.u.

Dangerous and Moving, then crashing. While the English counterpart of t.A.T.u.'s album iLyudi Invalidy/i does possess some good parts, such as the song iObezyanka Nol'/i and iAll About Us,/i the entire album is far from as fantastic, as stunning as their premiere CD.
The majority of the tracks are bland, lacking in the desperation and intensity (along with catchy beats) that made i200 KM/H in the Wrong Lane/i so powerful. Not only has europop charm they once possessed appear to have been eaten up by American cookie-cutter pop-rock, but their songs are noticably slower and lyrics take on more of a melancholy, deserted tone.
Only huge fans of t.A.T.u. should get this album, although it would be wiser to invest in a copy of the Russian version instead. Everyone else should ignore it all together. Submitted by 321.faithe (New Britain, CT, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Dangerous And Moving album
$12.49 There's been a lot of hubbub about the marketing tactics of this album by a teenage lesbian female duo, who are pictured in the booklet as frolicking schoolgirls locking all available limbs around each other in their underwear. Still, that doesn't mean that said duo's debut album 200 KM/H IN THE WRONG LANE is lacking in pop hooks or spot-on production. With ace producers like the estimable Trevor Horn on hand, one would scarcely expect otherwise. With most of the album split between straight-ahead dance-pop and a kind of post-Alanis aggro rock tempered by the pair's wispy, Bjork-like voices. It's something of a surprise to be confronted mid-album ...

| | Glenn Hughes Hughes/Thrall CD (1991) (Import) Bonus Tracks; United Kingdom
Dangerous And Moving songs
$20.39 Glenn Hughes is the former bassist of Deep Purple and Pat Thrall was voted Best New Talent of 1980 by Guitar Player Magazine.
The fruit of a one-off collaboration between ex-Deep Purple bassist/singer Glenn Hughes and journeyman guitarist Pat Thrall, Hughes/Thrall is full of the energy of early-'80s rock. With lyrics like "You got the power/Turn on the light" sung in best Ian Gillan fashion and buoyed by relentless grooves and Thrall's virtuosic guitar, this album is an overlooked gem. Thrall's use of the guitar synthesizer is very interesting. Throughout the album, he combines the muscle of hard rock with the textures of post-punk and new wave, as if Andy Summers were sitting around jamming with Eddie Van Halen. Take, for example, "Beg, Borrow or Steal." The verse is pure new wave, with its straight-eighth synth chords, but it soon gives way to the sleazy rock of the chorus. Much of this sound may in fact trace its origin to Queen and Rush, but listening to Hughes/Thrall in its historical context places it firmly in the same territory in which Billy Idol was to have so much success. The performances by the two leaders are fantastic. Hughes' voice and bass playing are in fine form, and Thrall exhibits a healthy dose of Allan Holdsworth in his playing. The mix, handled by none other than Andy Johns, tends to bury Thrall's guitar a bit, but the drums and bass sound great for an album from this period. This is aggressive and vital hard rock, with a healthy dose of texture and subtlety that prevents it from descending to the depths of self-parody that so much ...

Dangerous And Moving album
$19.99 After only two studio albums and a remix collection, T.A.T.U. issued this 2006 compilation, bringing its relationship with Interscope Records to a close. Although predictably padded with remixed tracks and alternate versions, THE BEST features the highlights from the supposedly sapphic Russian pop duo's initial outings, including ...

Dangerous And Moving CD music
$19.79 A well-crafted horror film in the tradition of Guillermo del Toro's THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE, Swedish import LET THE RIGHT ONE IN ably blends genre chills with genuine feeling. Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant) is a 12-year-old outcast who is frequently picked on by his classmates. He dreams of getting his revenge, but he never stands up to the boys. With the arrival of his new next-door neighbor, 12-year-old Eli (Lina Leandersson), Oskar may finally have found a friend, ally, and first love. But Eli is no ordinary girl: she must keep her pale skin out of the sunlight, she can perform inhuman physical feats, and she has thirst for blood. The bodies begin to pile up, but Oskar can't stay away from the girl who has finally given him courage.
Based on the novel by John Ajvide Linqvist (who also wrote the script), LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is the best kind of horror film: one that transcends the tropes of the genre to become something new. This is director Tomas Alfredson's first foray into horror, and he doesn't hesitate to include bits of vampire mythology. But his background making comedies and dramas gives the film a surprising depth; ...

| | Brendan Benson Metarie CD (2003)
Dangerous And Moving music CDs
$7.59 On the five-song Metarie EP, Michigan-based pop maestro Brendan Benson tackles what is seemingly one of his favorite songs, "Metarie," twice. The first version of the song serves as an introduction to Benson's new band, the Wellfed Boys. On his last album (apart from some help from like-minded power popper Jason Falkner) Benson was for the most part a one-man band; now for whatever reason, he has decided to share the billing and give up some control of his well-scrubbed and ultra poppy sound. From the sound of it, he picked his crew very well, because the version of Metarie here sounds quite similar to the ...
