| Two masters at the top of their form
Both jazz fans and future jazz fans should be so grateful for the discovery of this recording. Forget the fact that this is two of the jazz masters of all time at the top of their game captured just as their music was to make a dramatic change -- this album is just plain, old fashioned great listening.

It is great that after all these years, a 1957 recording can still be discovered, and in excellent shape. Playing is excellent, and songs - all by Monk - are classics.
