WOW!!!! WHAT A SURPRISE!
I MUST CONFEFSS THAT I BOUGHT THIS CD ON A HUNCH...AND I'M GLAD I DID! THESE GUYS ARE TIGHT AND UNIQUE. MUSICIANSHIP IS EXCEPTIONAL AND THE VOCALS ARE VERY GOOD. THE LYRICS ARE OUTSTANDING, JUST GREAT FOR SITTING AND ENJOYING. I THINK SIEGES EVEN ARE ACROSS BETWEEN RUSH AND ALAN PARSONS PROJECT. I WILL CONTINUE TO FIND THEIR PREVIOUS EFFORTS!

good not great
Good, great heavy parts contrasted with nice clean vocals. Songs all have very very similar sound and do not differentiate themselves well. Needs more variety.

Suberb!!!
I have to say: I have heard a couple of records of this band, and I Wasn't really happy with those. I'm not saying that they where bad, just not really significant. "The art of navigating by the stars" Is one of the best prog rock albums I ever heard. While at this point we are more focused in the biggest bands like Dream Theater this others remain silent and can only achieve attention showing true and real quality; this is a honorable example.

absolutely STELLAR
Memorable mature melodies, complex song structures that keep you guessing, superb performances by all band members, audiophile sound quality; this one has it all. Words like "classic" and "masterpiece" get used so often that they have long since lost their significance but they both definitely apply to this immaculately conceived record. I could write volumes as to why this is one of the best prog/rock albums ever but mere words would not do this album that defies comparison any justice. Shades of glory period Rush trickle through at times as do the lavish sounds of old Yes but the influences are well buried beneath an avalanche of truly inspired new material that is its' own entity. From start to finish, this album is of the highest quality and it, well, took me places. Perhaps THAT is the true art of navigating by stars. This is what superior talent can do and what an impressive display of musicianship this is!
