(4 Customer Reviews)
For their fifth album, Orange County Christian metal band Project 86 wisely retreat from the musical brutality of 2004's SONGS TO BURN YOUR BRIDGES BY. AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW is still a pummeling listen, but singer Andrew Schwab has re-introduced melody into his vocals, and his guitarist foil, Randy Torres, matches him by opening up the band's sound to include heartfelt ballads, flirtations with alternative pop, and, on the title track, even a dash of electronica. Overall, this is an emotionally and musically wide-ranging effort.
Project 86: Andrew Schwab (vocals); Randy Torres, Alex Albert (guitar, keyboards); Steven Dail (bass guitar).
And The Rest Will Follow Music Project 86 And The Rest Will Follow Songs And The Rest Will Follow Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) awesome. This CD is the first P86 CD I bought, and it's so freakin amazing! I listen to it all the time, and love every song. I would highly recommend this album to anyone who likes hard rock music. I wasn't even a fan of hard rock or metal before, but these guys are doing something totally unique. It's one of my fave albums ever. And they're Christians! that's so cool. | | Living Sacrifice Hammering Process CD (2000)
And The Rest Will Follow CD music
$13.49 The dissonant, trebly guitar noodling combined with detuned sub-riffing known as nu-metal sneaks into the always-evolving aggro of Living Sacrifice on the group's sixth release, The Hammering Process. Though perhaps considered a suspicious shift by their underground metal fans, this subtle transformation works for a unit used to combining the best elements of metal's many forms into new and original concoctions. ...
| | Dream Theater Falling Into Infinity CD (1997)
And The Rest Will Follow music CDs
$8.39 Dream Theater's specialty is atmospheric metal, at times heavy, at times sinister, with a sharp techno edge. "New Millennium," the disc's opening cut, defines the sound: ringing guitars, a driving beat, start-stop dynamics and rolling drum crescendos. There's a bit of a Rush influence at work here, as well as ELP ...
| | Dream Theater Scenes From A Memory CD (1999)
And The Rest Will Follow songs
$13.09 "Metropolis Part I," a track featured on Dream Theater's breakthrough, IMAGES AND WORDS, left many progressive rock enthusiasts with what seemed like another unfinished chapter in a story never to be completed. Seven years and five albums later, Dream Theater returned to its majestic beginnings with METROPOLIS PART II--SCENES FROM A MEMORY. Keyboard virtuoso Jordan Rudess, who was a logical replacement for Derek Sherinian, revitalized the band's sound. Rudess's collaboration with guitarist John Petrucci and drummer Mike Portnoy stole the attention of Dream ...

$17.19 On this, Dream Theater's seventh studio effort, the heavier elements of the band's music come to the forefront. | | Luka Bloom Between The Mountain And The Moon CD (2002)
And The Rest Will Follow songs
$13.59 Luka Bloom's seventh album (not counting three releases in his native Ireland under his real name, Barry Moore, which he changed to avoid comparison with his much more famous brother Christy) is a welcome change. His first new album of original material in three years, BETWEEN THE MOUNTAIN AND THE MOON at last features Bloom's soulful voice and folk-based acoustic guitar supported throughout by full-band arrangements.
Unlike a lot of solo performers who go the full-band route (see Phil Ochs' TAPE FROM CALIFORNIA), Bloom wisely avoids the temptation to go overboard with all his new toys. The arrangements are rich, but surprisingly subtle; Bloom remains at the center, with effective touches like piano, accordion, and cello coloring the songs, not overpowering them. Even the occasionally histrionic Sinead O'Connor, who guests on "Love Is A Place I Dream ...

| | Auf Der Anderen Seite/The Edge Of Heaven CD (2007) Original Soundtrack
And The Rest Will Follow album
$14.15 Serving as a simultaneous soundtrack and compilation, Auf der Anderen Seite matches its topicality -- the German-Turkish co-production has its partial roots in the Turkish minority community that thrives in modern-day Germany -- with music that reflects the combination of past and the future at play. Coordinated by Shantel, who creates a number of shorter instrumentals throughout the disc (highlights including the spacy techno rampage of "Six Bars Later," all the more effective for being so brief), its wide range can be a bit herky-jerky ...
