This two-fer CD combines B.W. Stevenson's 1975 album We Be Sailin' with the 1978 session Lost Feeling. Originally these LPs were released separately on Warner Bros. and had been out of print until they were reissued in 2005 on Collectables. This pleasant lite country-pop set highlights such original B.W. Stevenson compositions as "East India Company," "Wastin' Time," "Jerry's Bar and Grill," and "Slip Away." ~ Al Campbell

| We Be Sailin' / Lost Feeling Music Review Average Rating: (3.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews incredible I am amazed that this is finally available. This is fabulous music. I was playing WASTIN TIME on the guitar and googled WE BE SAILIN looking for the lyrics. I will buy it immediately. Google the producer, the sax player, etc. These are all great musicians. The song Temper was written by fellow Houstonian Shake Russle. Jerry's Bar and Grill, Kokomo, Hold On, Quits each great songs. The album marks a period in my life that I would like to never have left. Submitted by jmarks (Houston, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

ATTN: REVIEW EDITOR Would you please remove my recent review? I spoke to another musician who played on We Be Sailin' and he informed me the tracks were not altered. The band is not credited on this CD reissue, but my comments were inaccurate.
Thanks for your attention.

Wait A Minute I played bass on *We Be Sailin'* when it was recorded for Warner Brothers in the mid '70s. It was produced by Tommy LiPuma and engineered by Al Schmitt, and was recorded with BW's Texas road band during the outlaw country days.
WB wanted to use session players, but Buck fought for us to be on the record, and prevailed.
It looks like WB sold the masters and the buyer re-recorded everything but BW's lead vocal and acoustic rhythm guitar, using name session personnel.
Which they were free to do, but the original 12" vinyl with the Texas band carries the energy of those rather turbulent and amazing times, whereas these performances are saccharine and conventional by comparison. The edge is gone. IMHO.
These changes were made after BW's death, so he didn't have anything to do with it.
Anyway, this isn't the original *We Be Sailin'*. Just so you know...

$25.69 In some circles, Mickey Jupp is something of a minor legend, a roots rocker with excellent taste and a cutting wit, best heard on the songs "Switchboard Susan" and "You'll Never Get Me Up in One of Those," both covered by Nick Lowe. Basher's endorsement is a clear indication that Jupp is a pub ...

He immigrated to Canada in 1967 and attended Kitchener Waterloo' collegiate Institute better known as k. C. I He began to play the Recorder and the violin at an early age before coming to Canada at the age of 14. He began singing in high School bands, and, after leaving School, he decided to pursue a career in music in Toronto Ontario. After arriving in Toronto in 1969 he entered a Talent contest and came in Second. In the meantime he met a group of guys from Jamaica in a group called the “Fabulous Flames”. They had won first place in the contest. After looking at their individual talents they decided to form a dance and Singing group. They taught Glen to dance and he taught them to sing.
